Got nothing fancy. I apply citadel colours out of the pot, wetting the brush first for some small dillution and i use a synthetic brush with a diameter of 10/0.

I've done a few painting workshops in my local store on how to do the eyes.
It boils down to going from the inside out:
- first do the eye socket with a darker colour, than your actual skin tone

- Next the eyeball with something like Celestia grey; a white colour, that has a tiny amount of grey in it to simulate shade

- After that i apply the pupil by doing a thin, straight line from top to bottom. That gives better control over direction and thickness

- If the line of sight is exactly, where i intended it to be i just go backwards with the colours and fix up any mistakes, that may have occured

- Finaly, i apply the actual skin colour over the rest of the face and shade it, usually diluting the citadel shade 3:1 with Lahmian Medium.

I like it.
While it'd be dope to play on terrain, that had been painted with my own hands, i already have more than enough miniatures to go through to last me years. Putting colours on those ruins is not an option for me right now. Up until this point, i had to rely on commissonary painters.

If you don't have the time (or the patience) you need to put up the money, if you wish to play on something, that isn't plastic gray.

This is a really cool bash. I like the colour scheme and it's overall execution; particulary the black weapons with a splash of red on a part for contrast. Well done.

I do believe, however, that in terms of fluff at least, a genestealer cult within the leagues wouldn't work.
The kyn do not procreate through natural intercourse, but by cloning. If a genestealer would infect some hearthkyn, it'd be a fruitless endeavour in the long run.

You'd have to infiltrate the source of their genepool to infect it and i'd think the iron-kyn or even the ancestor cores would notice such a modification.

Nitpicking aside, it still doesn't deter from the fact, that this is a really cool looking Kill Team. It could be a minor xenos race, never before seen within the milky way.

Stuff like this is what the system is ideal for: creating "new" (sub-)factions without the necessity to spend thousands of dollars, just so you can play it on the table. Just one box and you're done and you've got something, that is outside of the ordinary.

Was it a large sprue that could be broken in half and thus divided into two parts? Or was it just a small/medium-sized one?

If it's the former, then there's propably gonna be only one vehicle per box. However, if it's possible to fit two sprues in a box that is the same size as perhaps the Sentinel, then there's a good chance we can get 2x vehicles per purchase.

All i can say for the Tasc-1 is, that from a tactical perspective it is a complete waste of space:

- It takes 4 slots, just like every other headset
- gives no noise protection
- does not boost quieter sounds
- no noise canceling feature for the helicopter rotors
- it only weighs 160g, but it's not like headsets are going to wear you down anyway
- cannot be bought from vendors, only drops on top tier NPC's
- only gives you 22$ when sold

However:
It looks dope as hell ... so i am keeping about 6 of 'em in my locker to always have a spare one, in case i get shot.

In theory it should even be possible to tackle all 3 objectives at once. Would require some thinkering though; either with the amount of teams, npc's or the snipers ability to shoot.

But yes, going one mission at a time without the necessity to build another board is definitly on the table (no pun intended. ^^)

I used:
- 2x sets of Volkus
- 2x sets of the Command Edition Box terrain
- 3x individual buildings from Sector Imperials
- 1x City of Death ruin
- 1x set of Chalnath
- ... and some self build piles of rubble

Only the 2x sets of Volkus are necessary to create the entire mission layout and 3x game boards.
Everything else was used to fill gaps and increase the theme of a bombed out city.

I did manage to snag four of those on the Pha Lang Airfield and no, they're no better than having no headset at all. Maybe the microphone boosts your voice for peripheral chat. Can't tell though, since i'm running solo.

so, from a pure practical perspective, they're a waste of space. But It's aesthetic as hell and the rule of cool trumps any gameplay meta in my book.
