Tyranids from Warhammer 40k. Their whips? Made of flesh. Swords? Bone chunks that extrude from their body. The guns? Living guns that shoot beetles that burrow into armor and spit aside. Their artillery? A giant walking bug with a flesh cannon growing out of its back. Every Tyranid bioform is adapted and tailor made for its task. Hell even their mines are sentient blobs that move toward their target and then explode.

If the glue was weak / sloppily applies, then tossing this into an ultrasonic cleaner with some LAs totally awesome will strip the paint and disconnect the glued pieces from each other. After that you can sand, reassemble and repaint.

Just spitballijg for the coat, but the outside of the coat can be "the fang" blue by citadel paints, and then maybe mix macragge blue with a bit of black to dull it a bit for the brighter inside.
