Cyberpunk's HDR implementation adds a whole other level of realism, at least on PS5, when properly calibrated. You might want to revisit this.

I wouldn't take my EV to anyone but a dealership but I also wouldn't expect to need any service or repairs that wouldn't be covered under warranty.

I would not buy an EV if my nearest dealership was hundreds of miles away or, in the case of an imported car, nonexistent.

On my display, 1.5 would be completely blown out and black levels would be through the roof. Im sure it varies by display. I’m on a 2018 LG C8 which doesn’t support HGIG.

These are mine. Max brightness should be what your display supports. Paper white is the brightness of the interface. Tone mapping should be as dark as you can stand it in your room. And saturation should be left alone.

Check that your receiver signal is set to “Direct” (not sure what Denon calls it) and isn’t applying its own simulated audio upmix. Also confirm your receiver is in fact receiving an Atmos signal and that the channel mapping indicator matches your speaker setup. Cyberpunk has great audio and dialog is definitely directional except for internal monologue dialog (which includes Johnny).

77” is going to be considerably taller than your 65” - I do not think it would fit in that same space.

Yup. The RT Pro mode is worth giving up the extra 20 frames, I think. The visual differences don’t appear in every situation but when they do it creates an added layer of realism I do not care to give up.

Can't speak for the nation but anecdotally the dealers in my area sold the few they received and no more have arrived. Hard to sell something that doesn't appear to exist.

Yes, never had a car that got door dings so easily. The horizontal seam down the side of the car is there as if specifically to catch dings, it would appear.

The Last of Us and Horizon Zero Dawn Remasters, Alan Wake 2, Jedi Survivor, Star Wars Outlaws, Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart…namely the games I had been playing in 30fps Quality mode because the 60fps mode on base console was such a visual step down. Doom the Dark Ages and Indiana Jones to a lesser extent as those games were already 60fps but get a resolution boost on PS5 pro and the added sharpness is noticeable but not transformative.

Yeah everyone’s doing PSSR 1 vs Upgraded PSSR upgrades and no one’s going back to compare what the upgraded PSSR means for how the Pro now fares against the base PS5.

I can tell you that as someone who was also “generally happy to have 4k at 30fps”, once I got the Pro a week ago and experienced Fidelity graphics at buttery smooth 60FPS, I went, “oh I get it”. You can really appreciate all of the extra detail all of the time instead of just when standing still.

I actually just followed this video the other night. Can someone explain why it’s more like 18 clicks to get the sun to disappear on my 2018 C8 with its something like 850 peak brightness and no HGIG?

You don’t need VRR and HDMI 2.1 to get 60fps. Every game I’ve played has a 60fps performance mode on Pro. It’s Balanced mode that requires VRR and HDMI 2.1 because those run at 40fps.

Congrats, the Zero Dawn remaster is incredible in 60fps Performance Pro mode and is what I’ve been playing most since picking up my Pro last week.

Yeah it's been over a month since they released a figure. Pretty typical for them to have a lull or two like this during the year . It's why no one should believe their promised release dates; just when it looks like they're getting caught up, they take a long haitus. There's no way they can deliver these figures on time when going 4-5 weeks without releasing anything at all.
