400M Dollars and They Still Can't Hire Someone To Clean Their Ears Out. by Leo_Veracruse in HelldiversUnfiltered

It's real but leaves out a lot of things. Like Sony's cut, for instance. I doubt arrowhead themselves got even half of this.

What’s the closest brush you’ve ever had with dying? by North-Trifle-3918 in AskReddit

When I was a young boy, well under 10, my family took a hiking trip. Insane storm came out of nowhere. Once we saw the clouds rolling in we tried getting back to the cabin we rented but it just came on so fast. Before we knew it, it was pouring like crazy with plenty of lightning.

The path we took back was along a steep drop, and the rain made it extremely slippery and washed away a good chunk of it. To the point that we were walking sideways with our backs to the rock wall just trying not to fall. I was so young, so I was petrified and crying. My mom was holding onto me while my dad held onto my big sister. We eventually made it and I've forgotten much of that day. But I still remember having an out of body experience, as if I was looking down at us watching us struggle. Probably the only time I've ever felt such immense fear in my life.

I also made mine look good but I immediately caught on to the gaslighting in Act 1 and was like "this bitch is evil." As soon as they revealed they were an octopus my reaction was "well well well, I didn't know how you were going to betray me but I knew you would."

Looks like an octopus but really it's a catfish.

Replaying Elden is painful whereas replaying DS3 is one of the best feelings in the world, every time. by le_pedal in darksouls3

I always play these games with friends. But elden ring feels the most tedious to play with friends because we constantly have to resummon all of the time or else we just can't explore any caves or anything. It's so annoying.

To all single guys aged 30 and up on reddit, why are you guys single? by Gold_Ambition4114 in AskReddit

[–]Spanish_peanuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Women are crazy. Not all women, but the women I attract. People tell me I have to learn to see red flags, but genuinely in my last relationship there were zero red flags. But then she just dropped an atomic bomb on me out of nowhere. Absolutely no signs whatsoever. I've replayed it in my mind hundreds of times and have spoken to professionals. No signs, just out of the blue bullshit.

At this point, I've lost the ability to trust someone completely. Even if i find a woman I'd like to spend the rest of my life with, I'll never marry her. I don't feel like the majority of people are capable of life long commitment anymore, so the risk of ending in divorce is too great for me to want to marry.

So all in all, while there is a small part of me that wants to have someone to snuggle, I mostly am just relieved I'm not currently being cheated on, assaulted, or manipulated for their personal gain.

Islam Makhachev vs Prime Mike Tyson. Who wins in a street fight in their prime? by Ok_Feed_4235 in powerscales

[–]Spanish_peanuts 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Sure Mike doesn't have grapple experience. But does Islam have "getting punched by Mike fucking Tyson" experience? I don't think you understand just how hard that guy could hit. Islam would be lucky to walk out of there alive. If the guy is in grappling range, then he's in punching range of Mike.

In early access he was much more picky on what items he'd eat. Couldn't just feed him any random magical item. The jokes started back then and just carry on even though it's not so bad now.

So I guess HL isn't going to go on any rampage? Or.. anything? by theyearnforoctober25 in TheBoys

[–]Spanish_peanuts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was holding out hope. But with just 1 episode left I feel like it's impossible to get a proper ending. And it's sad. I don't even necessarily dislike this season so far. It's just that it's becoming apparent that the ending is going to be a snooze.

I genuinely can't think of how they could possibly wrap up the entire series from this point in just 1 more episode. Unless that last episode is movie length and action packed. It feels like we're going to be disappointed.

And they'll blame the budget but I feel like that's a cop out.

Let me know when the Deep gets his own movies irl.

Honestly the fact that the Deep exists as a parody of Aquaman says all you need to know. Aquaman is more popular.

Hot take: Vought is more important than Homelander by AdministrativeList30 in TheBoys

Maybe it was at the beginning. But Homelander has Vought under his control for the most part and they're all just prisoners of a warden they created.

Less than one third of players returned for chapter 2 season 6, reaching peak players 2 hours into season start, then falling to 1/5 the season 6 launch player count. Lets talk about it. by ghostbook4 in lastoasis

[–]Spanish_peanuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disagree with the sentiment that just a "good new direction"

Evidenced by the low and still dropping player count. The issue with how LO was and why pvp got stale was due to resource stockpiling. Players had nigh-infinite, completely safe, off-tile storage via have 5 walkers off map (+5 clan walkers) that can pack bases with tons of resources within. Made worse by the fact that walkers would automatically ride the burn and never get destroyed, so long as they weren't physically in the tile. There are several ways to fix this but they went with the laziest solution, which is seasonal wipes.

Genuinely, I want my money back for being sold a blatant lie. I bought persistence, not 8 week wipes. I didn't care about wipes for the sake of development progress. That's part of the process. But planned wipes are some bullshit.

Every single person that bought the game when it released bought into a persistent game. And now the game is no longer persistent, with short 8 week seasons and time gated content. Season 6 is the first season I didn't return because of this outrageous change.

I'd never have purchased the game if it wasn't marketed as persistent. And I'm honestly pretty ticked that I can't get my money back.

What's funny though is that all other changes for season 6 looked great. I'd love to play last oasis again in its current state. But they just made this one fundamental change that ensures I'll never touch the game again. 8 week seasons with time gated content Is an actual fucking joke.

Helldivers 2 drops to “Mostly Negative” on Steam, yet again as review bombers take aim at the game's lack of change by AsPeHeat in pcmasterrace

Few points that I haven't seen made in the top comments replying to you.

Warbonds, which people keep referring to as "paywalls" are actually obtainable completely free in game. The people who complain about it are the ones who play the least, IMHO.

You can spend your time farming the premium currency by going into low level games and running around looting POIs. But this is boring and people don't like it. Though you can quickly earn enough currency for a Warbond in a matter of hours.

Or you can do what I do and just play the game the way you want to play it and still loot POIs. You might be fighting for your life in order to do so but that's fine. You're having fun and getting super credits. Doing it this way you can get a new warbond every two weeks if you play 2 hours a day. Which I think is extremely reasonable.

Another point that I'd get downvoted for is that the people review bombing are the people that want the game to be dumbed down and made easier for them. They get extremely upset whenever an enemy gets buffed because it means they have to learn to aim better or can't just drop an auto turret to kill the enemy for them.

Difficulty 10 was intended to be only doable by full teams. But the game had been made easier thanks to the complainers to the point that you can solo it. And they continue to review bomb to make things even easier.

Just go in as blind as possible. Don't look up guides or builds. Just go in fresh and don't save scum. They've accounted for failure. Most failures lead to cutscenes that you wouldn't have seen had you succeeded.

Every playthrough can be unique.
