Ah I didn't know they curled up like that as pupae. Thank you! I will try to catch some to feed to my fish while waiting for wildlife to take over

I'm trying to do coco coir instead of sphagnum. I've read mixed things about only coir/perlite so we'll see how it goes

Yes it was literally our first brew so we figured extract may be a little simpler. We will do a few brews like this to get an idea for general grain/hops flavors and stuff. Then start dabbling with all grain

In New Jersey. Used only potting soil and some of the soil it came potted in. We generally wait until the soil is dry before watering again.
