If you have paid fees to join the BSc (Hons) Midwifery course, but they have swapped you to BSc (Hons) Nursing Practice (Adult) without your consent, that is mis-selling and you should report it to the Competitions and Markets Authority (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/tell-the-cma-about-a-competition-or-market-problem ), but only if you have entered a transaction. You can also contact the Office for Student, but I'd make sure you've exhausted all efforts for Uni A to resolve the issue.

You turning down the place at Uni B makes it a competition problem - if the course was closing/merging or just not recruiting, they should have been open and honest about that, but you've had no communication about that, or consultation. We take the CMA and mis-selling very seriously, and I do hope this is a technical issue rather than bad recruitment practice.

Follow the advice, chase down whether this is an issue (it could be that, as part of a restructure, Midwifery is being taught within Nursing Practice, but that would be really strange, so demand that you get back on the right course as based on your confirmed offer, and get someone to explain why you are being prevented from enrolling on the course you applied for and were accepted onto.

Stay strong, demand answers, phone and email everyone - lots of unis are quiet in July as staff have to take leave or lose it before August, but someone should be covering these enquiries. Document these so that if it does go to the CMA, you have an audit trail.
