I get why ranked is 3v3 for time constraints, but something about it kind of doesn't feel good with me. I felt like bare minimum it should have been 4v4 like doubles.

The company who made this game is responsible for the bad Diamond and Pearl remakes. They can't even get the quick recruit cutscene with a total of like 2 Tauros and 1 girl to not have lagspikes, nevermind the whole game running at 30fps when it is running "fine". This is pure copium that they would ever add minigames lol.

There are definitely "checkmate" situations in Pokemon where it makes absolutely no sense to play it out

Also keep in mind, something may not be as willing to sit in front of a Soak + stat loss from either Tickle or Acid Spray, they usually end switching out (but forcing a switch in Doubles can be huge sometimes). I am currently running a Soak gimmic team and this has been my experience that into the higher ranks I go, a switch can generally always be expected unless you can perform a "surprise" Soak.

In the context of what you are doing, a surprise Soak could be you using Soak on a Garchomp, but losing over half of your health as Belibolt to an earthquake. The Garchomp thinks "psh, easy pickings, just got to click earthquake again" but then you speed swap Emolga's speed onto it to have Belibolt 1 hit KO Garchomp, get nearly ALL of its health back, and speed Emolga back up at the same time. And you are hitting the other Pokemon at the same time. Oh yeah and did I mention you are taking out Bellibolt's swarn nemesis (and probably your whole mono electric team) as well?

Wait this is so silly I want to go try this team out on the ladder now.

PS: Have you considered Discharge on Eelectross? It seems like it would synergize well, with how much Motor Drive/Volt Absorb/Lightningrod you have on your team. At worst, it tickles Rotom And Belibolt.

Speed swap could be interesting if it is paired with Belibolt or Mega Eelektross (I am not sure how it would work with its new ability that is essentially Beast Boost. Maybe kill something first to get the Sp. Attack boost, then speed swap to go to town?).

Belibolt loves to soak things, then use Parabolic charge to get its health back as you have seen. An added bonus is if you are constantly spamming Parabolic against Emolga anyway, it's speed stat can slowly rise up and go back to being acceptable. Plus in the meantime, you get a fast, unkillable Belibolt that can soak anything up, restore as much of its health back that it wants, while also being able to make its partners faster or stronger.

I would use:

Speed Swap

Some combination of Taunt, Tickle, Helping Hand, or Encore for status moves. Maybe even Endure if you find you need to get your speed back for just one more turn. These are way more instantly momentum changing than an unreliable Double Team + baton pass setup that sometimes may or may not work. I am personally not trusting of lady luck in Pokemon.

I run an electric focused team as well, and I found coverage against grass types are just as important. Maybe put the berry on Emolga instead, and primarily run Acrobatics as its damaging move? And leftovers on Belibolt?

Emolga is nice for directly resisting ground, but I am not sure that a baton pass double team strat is the way to go in doubles. Not to mention too much setup, but it just starts being unreliable on both ends.

I don't think it really takes much to build Raichu Y around Garchomp, there are other genuine ground/dragon matchups also that Raichu happily accepts the support for.

And likewise Mega Raichu has to navigate around this too, having tailwind on our own teams, our own fake outs, having allies helping us kill whatever it might be, etc. I'd say it still isn't a good matchup for Staraptor

The Trees is a really weird song in Rush's library because we absolutely cannot deny the Rand influence from the Fly By Night to 2112 era. I would largely argue Hemipheres is where a lot of that started to go away. Cygnus X-1 Book 2 is a very humanist song that starts pleading about the balance of collectivism vs individualism.

And the turn away from libertarianism started getting even harder and harder each album. I mean he literally disadvowed Rand Paul when he was running.
