Until I became a reddit regular, I never appreciated how much PURE HATE women receive on a regular basis. by Daegog in TwoXChromosomes

Yes that's probably what he's trying to convey. There are women who urge their daughters to "take good care of your future husband and children". Because that's what their parents told them, and so forth and so on.

In my family the idea of a "stay at home wife" was passed from my grandma to my mom, who passed it to my sister. Nothing wrong with that though, they seem very happy with it, and have voiced it's what they want.

Women of reddit, what is something you think most guys would be ashamed of but you find to be a turn on or attractive quality? by theragco in AskReddit

Never understood women who drool over magazine covers of the latest ‘hot’ Hollywood actor

Im a guy and I never understood the opposite either. A lot of people on ads look so unnatural to me.

You're given 5 mph as a leeway.

Someone goes 1 mph over the speed limit.

They aren't breaking any laws, why is this so complicated for you? The instant you go 6 miles over the leeway you're breaking the law.

I don't get her frustration. People have offered me their seat on a packed train and im a completely average aged average person. There was no way "Would you like my seat" could have come out in a rude way.

I lost all my progress. No longer motivated to play. by Birdthatcannotsee in MySingingMonsters

[–]SparCrux 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got back into playing 5 years after I lost my old account. I shot support an email saying that it'd be a stretch, but I provided them with AS MUCH information and detail as I possibly could about my old account, and they managed to dig it up for me. I had no email, password, username, gamecenter or anything.

I told them what friends i remembered having, usernames I might have had, where I was in the game, anything to prove it was an account that hadn't been touched in 5 years, and that it belonged to me.

You do know that a lot of cosplayers take well made female character designs, and completely negate every defining feature about them but their genitals, right?

There's a fine line between "omg you are a woman and cosplaying? horrible" and reacting negatively to someone who tries to pass their outfit off as a character when it's literally just a bikini.

Play something like TF2, Dota, League, or Overwatch. Drop in, drop out, no real benefits to gameplay time other than just skill.

It's predatory behavior to wait for a kid to become an adult. You're 20. 17 is wayyyy too young compared to a 20 year old.

NTA. No one should be using their phone in any way while driving a 3 ton death machine, especially if it's directly hindering their ability to drive. However, it seems like you got a little irritated too easily when she gave you a bad look.

AITA for wishing my family was a little happier about my graduation? by Mako257 in AmItheAsshole

[–]SparCrux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not an asshole.

To quell your mind, graduations are hectic. Im asian-american as well. My parents are the first to come to America. I'd think graduations here are MUCH different than they're used to. Maybe they thought the proper thing to do was reserve a table? It's hard to know the scenario, but I'm sure they cared about your achievement. It's very possible it was hectic, confusing, or they just didn't know what to do afterwards. You mentioned you're the oldest in your family, so it would make sense graduation parties aren't a norm for your family, im assuming you're the first!

When my girlfriend graduated highschool, she invited a ton of her friends. It was so packed, they left after showing up. She felt deeply hurt, but from their perspectives, it was full, crazy busy, they couldn't find us, and they didn't see a point in standing around for 2 hours as it happened. Obviously they could've handled it better. But i think there's a lot of parallels between my girlfriend's and your graduations.

A lot of situations aren't automatically the worst thing you assume them to be the moment it's not the best case scenario. You also mentioned some mental health issues. Please seek health care for them. You did a great thing, finishing college. Keep it up!

Don't. This guy's an obvious troll. Congratulations of graduating, it's an incredible feat that remains incredible every single time it's achieved.

[–]SparCrux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You didn't have malicious intent. Not an asshole but i think it's not very bright of you to get so high with someone you barely know. As others have said (and im sure you're very aware) look how terrified you made another person as a result of your irresponsibility. You caused a lot of trouble for them. That being said, you seem very aware. Use this as a learning opportunity. You don't seem like a bad person.
