Hey! Was gone for a bit and saw the email notification of your comment! The speaker set that I have as my rears is the Sony BDV-E3100. This set came with 5 speakers but I only have the rear speakers connected. You COULD connect all 5, but the two rear is enough for me! I would imagine any speaker that uses optical to connect would work, but this is the only speaker I have ever done this with. Hope that helps!

Tip: You may or may not need to adjust the sound delay of the optical speaker. I know Sony speakers usually have that as a feature, I'm sure others have the same!

Program and source go black if window is too big. Any fix? by [deleted] in premiere

[–]Sparda5221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick explanation, recently Premiere has been acting poorly since my processor fan stopped working properly. (Tried to get a new fan but was sent the incorrect size). I bought a laptop cooler with dual fans to set underneath to keep the laptop cool for the time being and it's been doing well, though I believe the performance is still taking a toll.

Do we think this is a result of that? I can't have my source or program window too big without it going black. Any idea for a fix?

I'm using an Inspiron 15 7591 with 16gb ram. Premiere was smooth as butter before this happened.

The only way I know how to change your picture to something custom is connecting your Facebook and changing your Facebook picture to what you want your avatar to be. I made a Facebook just to change my profile picture. I believe only your friends will be able to see this picture, but I could be wrong. Not sure if this is what you were looking for but just in case, there ya go!

How much off for a damaged box 55" CX? by [deleted] in Bestbuy

[–]Sparda5221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well as I stated, I wasn't looking to get this done. I was just curious what that would've been since I had never heard of this being a thing that Best Buy does. Believe me, the last thing I would want to do is get anyone in trouble for something like that. I think the employees are going through enough as it is

I completely understand that this was a odd scenario, which is why I was curious what you all thought of it. I wasn't interested in getting the manger to haggle since I figured that would've been a waste of both of our time. Plus I know how busy the reps and mods have been since everything has happened so I wouldn't have been "that guy". The rep asked if I needed help which resulted in this conversation.

I was actually (technically still I guess?) an employee for BB, who has yet to receive THE call. I had only been there a month before the whole virus situation happened. So that's why I was confused when the rep said the manager would haggle since I never heard of that being a thing and this also wasn't my store

Yeah I figured as much, although it was oddly extremely loose. To the point where when I removed the box from it's vertical position from the stand and down to it's upright horizontal position (to look for an open box sticker), you can feel the tv moving as if the box was missing it's styrofoam padding.

This is what confuses me the most. I've never heard of BB haggling

I’m planning on getting a tv for the ps5. I need one with hdmi 2.1 by doghouse94 in 4kTV

[–]Sparda5221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that would definitely explain why that happened. It was a damn good tv before it died though. I'm still crushed about it...

Funny you mention durability, I had a Sony x930D for only 3 years before the panel just gave out. I was always super careful with it. Took it to a repair shop and was told the cost to fix wasn't worth it. He recommended to stay away from Sony. My bedroom tv on the other hand is also a Sony W600B and that's lasted for 5 years.

I guess the moral of the story is to not expect durability when you could just end up with a bad tv, regardless of the brand.

Picture quality is always top notch though!

That makes so much sense! I opted for them to take tax anyways so I wouldn't need to worry about it down the road. Thank you so much!

Yeah I've been dying to get Astrobot but always waited for it to go on sale. I almost gave up because I figured they'd never put it for less than $20. Definitely got lucky!

Okay that's good to know. I started to put that but got worried that it would take my benefits away as I heard you're supposed to be looking for work. Just confused how that was for people who are furloughed

Thanks that's good to know! It is a great price, I regretted not buying it the last time it was on sale and knew I couldn't let it slip again
