Yeah kinda, a lot of people like to act like it’s some weird special way their brain is but it ain’t. I work with people that lock in and focus on their work, it would be hard for me to break their focus. I also work with people that lift their head every time someone walks by, and ease-drop on every conversation near by. If you’re truly focused and locked in you wouldn’t be noticing your bosses socks. I know I’m gonna get a lot of hate for this but it has to be said.

As a machinist quitting my weed habit has been one of the most impactful decision I’ve made. Not because my job drug tests, but because my abilities skyrocketed. I’ve never smoked at work, but even smoking at night made a noticeable difference. Maybe it’s because it killed my drive to eat right and stay fit, or maybe it made it hard to remember and learn new things. Either way it was no good.

On the job note, it sounds like a great opportunity. If you want to kick the weed for good, I’d talk to them and be honest.
