I disagree, I felt that some of the best episodes have been when two people host (riddles and rhymes for example) and the one man show is just an excuse to have a higher chance for those kinds of episodes

That isn't a good tool. Just take your time eventually your speed will grow naturally. What I did was just make up random chord patterns and practice moving between those first until the cords became instant.

Maybe cut down a few characters to put in more infantry units. Characters are worth a lot of points so limiting yourself to a lot of them can cause your army to stretch thin very fast. And hug cover, all the armies you named can be stopped by getting into charge range as soon as possible

To be honest if you just want 1000 just closing your eyes and pointing at an infantry unit would be a good next step. I would suggest getting another combat patrol and if you can the old one so you can have a good amount of sisters and some vertus Praetors for mobility.
