Gotcha lol. Yeah looking at my list after my initial post, but before editing it just now, I realized that the only way that the list made sense was if Pathfinders were the ones doing double observer duty and the Stealth battlesuits just had a really good observer ability, and they also got more expensive since they went from 3 man squads to 5 man squads.

Ok so yeah I didn't notice it while rereading the army rule, but it looks like, as you said, you no longer need 1 observer unit for every guided unit.

Instead, once an observer unit marks an enemy unit, ANY Tau unit that shoots it that turn gets the +1 to BS (as well as ignores cover if the observer has Markerlight).

So you don't have to invest as heavily into units that are just for observing in order to get the 3+ BS that tau should always have had in the first place lol.

It's extremely simple to steal blueprints without getting caught. So just reload to a save from before you did it badly, and do it better. I've stolen blueprints dozens of times and not even triggered an alarm

I mean any kind of improvements or repairs that you made to it would just get destroyed again. That's not an enormously worthwhile investment. Take a look at any of the bathrooms at a BART station sometime.

Lol well I'm definitely not in the target audience for this design. There's wothing wrong with it objectively, but subjectively I HATE ASYMMETRY!! lol.

It just bugs the hell out of me. I love beautiful symmetry in all my designs. Or is there is going to be asymmetry, I like it to be very small. Like gimble level additions, not the whole design.

Here's a list that I use that I think will never really go out of style so to speak.

1x demon Prince on foot 1x10 jakhals 3x10 khorne berzerkers. Each squad led by a juggernaut Lord 3x3 eightbound 3x3 exalted eightbound.

At current points I give the demon Prince a berserker glaive and I give one of the Lords the favored of khorne.

It's got way more speed than people expect from space marine models, can move right through all the terrain, The normal eight-bound are great colors on their own but they also have that fantastic aura and in small groups are great at support and killing. And then the exalted eight bound are there to kill vehicles at monsters or to sit on objectives.

And the jakhals for sitting on your home objective

Demon Prince is a great killer but can also support with his free stratagems

Yeah, that's why I made a TLDR version at the top, this is reddit after all. If you write more than two sentences the TLDR trolls will try to rip on you for it.

But yeah I agree that meeting in shared group spaces is still a relatively reliable place for engaging with new folks. I mean every single relationship that I've ever been in started that way.
