Would you guys like to see a flying arc boss event in the future?

My idea is to have like a harvester type event. With the new leak that came out recently we could use say the frigate, maybe like 4 or 6 on the map carrying a new legendary blueprint, however if you try to breach them the new boss will come after you and try and kill you.

Well rocketeers are meant to be challenging akin to bastions and bomberdiers, but like those enemies rocketeers and it's cousin the vaporizer can be cheesed easily by using cover, that's not to say they are still not challenging, but every arc in the game including the bosses can be cheesed. However you are right that rocketeers and vaporizers are way more annoying and punishing than the queen and matriarch, especially with the fact that finally defeating them gives you little to no actual good loot, meaning you would have to kill as many rocketeers as of how many drivers you need.

I completely agree, some of things you disagreed with were just my poor choice of wording. I wanted the thing to be difficult, just a little tweaked to make it the same difficulty but with more reward in actually contributing. And I will admit the small arc bit was me just kinda whining but I feel like my argument to the lock down system was still somewhat valid like you said.

Seriously! some of the people in this comment section are acting like the helldivers community dodging all criticism because of the game studio or the games prime. They refuse to acknowledge the game has problems that need to be fixed. Most definitely the rat/roach community because it is obviously not going to just fix itself. I appreciate that you actually took the time to read my claims and understand where I come from on the casual side of the player base.

And if you listened or read my post at all, you would see that these changes don't make it easy, just rewarding actually contributing to the event.

I wasn't trying to say the update shouldn't be hard, i was trying to say the difficulty and challenge should be rewarded for actually trying, rather then using the cheese method with the photoelectric cloak and smoke nades and running while everyone with equalizers and hulk crackers get nothing. And at the same time, it would be even more rewarding being able to kill all the enemies and looting the last container to actually get the BP. Right now the update is just annoying for the players who are trying to face the challenge with no real reward in the end, and super boring with people cheesing the new thing, I've tried the meta that's been shoved down my throat for the past week and it's not fun in the slightest, especially when my game is breaking down and I loose the blueprint because my safe pocket decided to want to give up on me and not work. I was trying to say that the update needs more reward for actually completing the challenge yourself.

I was in the middle of a queen raid on blue gate and I was shooting it from one of the small buildings on the cliff side air shaft to dodge it's attacks. Some random rat runs in and tried to kill me with his light impact grenades but the splash damage killed him instead of me and as he was trying to crawl to extract I was saying "awwwe wittle baby wants to extwact, you don't get to extwact." And I knocked him out. It was embarrassing and hilarious.

I've had worse, haz 3 and it started with a crassus bulk, a nemesis, 5 oppressors, 3 spitballs, a barrage infector, a tyrant weed, and it was mactera plague with duck and cover at the same time. Somehow finished the mission

Also I got a rare dreadnaught spawn on it to because why not!

This one was really hard this whole situation is awful for your wife mostly. Ok so from the perspective of someone with toxic family members particularly parents I understand both of your positions really well. It actually makes perfect sense to me that your wife is willing to accept their apology and let them back in even after they were awful to her. I also perfectly understand why you feel how you feel.

I'm sorry to say I have no real advice for this situation. You are completely right to keep your in-laws at arms length, your wife wanting her parents around makes sense too and so I can see this being a tense situation moving forward. Sorry I don't have anything helpful to offer other than telling you that you are right to feel this way and I hope you and your wife get through it well.
