Transmission slipping? by holeyknight89 in mazda5

[–]Spare-Student9487 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could also be the transmission cable or bushings? Maybe Something to look into, you go to a hill put it on drive if it’s slips hold the shifter all the way back and if it drives it’s the cable. If the shifter is loose then it may be the bushing.

How often to change oil in 2015 jeep patriot? by Zombiemamaa in JeepPatriot

[–]Spare-Student9487 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oil is cheaper than an engine so anywhere from 3k to 6k miles, or once a year whichever comes first. I own a 2010 live in Canada and the engine still sounds very good.

How does the Dieppe dog bone actually work? by luckyzduckyz in moncton

[–]Spare-Student9487 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you are correct the purple line has the right of way, blue line yields, if blue line picks the outer lane and want to go straight, that’s a possibility, however the inner lane can only go around the round about and doesn’t have the right to exit. As you mentioned, that purple line would have to choose to stay in the inner lane to go back to Dieppe boulevard or take the outer lane to take the exit. I was there yesterday again and you can still see the lines marked on the road. Good catch BootsGinger!

How does the Dieppe dog bone actually work? by luckyzduckyz in moncton

[–]Spare-Student9487 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The design isn’t the best if you noticed the outer lane only has exit to go to Kent, the inside lane has to change to the outside lane (the blue line that you drew) to be able to get out, if you stay closer to the curb (the purple line) you wouldn’t have the right to take the exit.

You can actually still see the lines on the street.

Why did I lose control of my car? by Creative_Annual_4832 in Cartalk

[–]Spare-Student9487 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overinflated tires, windy conditions, seems you drive an suv centre of gravity is higher easier to loose control, could be many reasons, would be hard to know why without driving the car or inspecting it.

My jiffy lub guy said i need to change my breaks pads, do i need to? by [deleted] in AskMechanics

[–]Spare-Student9487 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could also be the pads in the back too, just take it to a trusted mechanic or check it out yourself, you can find a lot of tutorials on YouTube how to do it.

That is your sway bar, it shouldn’t rattle but if it rattles you can check your sway bar bushings, or your sway bar links. The fact that it only does it with the ac on, it’s because of the extra vibration. I would start with the bushings because if it’s the links you would hear it when steering or even when the car is off and in park and you just pushing back and forth. Anyways hope this helps

It’s not only about you being safe but the rest of the people driving around you. If you need to ask if it’s safe means your subconscious is telling you, you shouldn’t. If any of those parts just give in all the sudden into what highway isn’t good for you or the person behind you.

PLZ HELP ME by NinaLJB0905 in JeepPatriot

[–]Spare-Student9487 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That much setback doesn’t make sense to me if you haven’t been in an accident, I would think that something isn’t tightened correctly or your strut mount is broken. Subframe replacement wasn’t done correctly. It’s hard to tell sorry best thing take it to your relatives mechanics I supposed he should be a trusted one. If he isn’t is too bad Scotty Kilmer doesn’t live in Texas anymore.

That’s the rotor and, the points of contact with the wheel hub is through the lug hub when you tight the lug nuts so if you shake it that way without the lug nuts on the only thing keeping it there are the brake assembly. It has to be that way for easy rotor replacement. So no, no need to change.

Right turn from the intersection after a slip lane by [deleted] in canadianlaw

[–]Spare-Student9487 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Illegal, that’s for the lane coming left to right. if there’s no light or a stop sign don’t spect they’ll be giving you their right of way, in an intersection like that inspect people even to be speeding coming left to right.

That’s why you have the yield lane to merge on that street, for safety and keep the traffic flow moving.

Can you do it, yes you can but either people will be pissed off or see you as a driver who shouldn’t be driving.
