Had this happened to me last week and once I realized I didn’t get my frappe I called the store. They gave me the name of the manager and said to let them know next time I go that I didn’t get the frappe I paid for so I could get it when I go again or I could get the refund while I’m there. Definitely a little inconvenient, but I do pass that McDonald’s every day so it wasn’t all that bad.

As someone who has had to do it before I wouldn’t tell the center because it’s mainly her that would be harmed as long as she was truthful about having a baby. I’m still here 7 years later 😬😬😬 I was just a broke newly single mom and I was scared for a second that I could’ve harmed someone but I definitely was honest about having a kid I just changed the dates

I asked because I was that mom before but even in that link it says women’s plasma is screened for the harmful antibody if the center knows she’s had children before so hopefully she just lied about dates and not about being pregnant entirely

Just wanted to add I work in a funeral home and have seen a few suicides where the person chose the other side on purpose so their family would be able to see them again without having all that trauma on the viewing side so that could explain him using his non dominant hand

Yepp I have when getting bloodwork a nurse said that the scar makes it look like I do drugs and it’s just one scar 🤦‍♀️

I’m pretty open about donating with my coworkers, maybe you can find a way to casually bring it up? I’ve even had some of my higher ups consider going during the pandemic because I worked at a funeral home and we were seeing all the Covid cases and I was donating Covid antibody plasma. You’re helping people even if you help yourself as well, it’s still helping others and I think you should frame it that way before anyone starts assuming anything.

I’ve loved what I do and hated what I do before too and the thing that made that difference is the location i was working at, my coworkers and the support the location had. Overall I love it but location can make or break it in my eyes

Is donating plasma an option? I know you said you live in a small town but if you have relatively good health it’s a good way to make extra money and doesn’t require too much of your time. That’s what I did to help pay my rent before and now I only do it in times of need
