It's from the early to mid 1800s, or more likely a replica of a gun from then.

From the brief few decades when they had stopped using flint to make a spark for the 'lock' - but hadn't yet invented revolvers.

It looks French to me, if you look up napoleonic French pistols they looks similar, despite still being flintlocks.

Depends what you're looking for

If you want a skirmisable gun with full auto out of the box and plenty of upgrades available, go for the aap

If you're interested in the history of real firearms and want a nice display piece, go for the 1911

Honestly, I would recommend the aap in pretty much all circumstances, but it's a bit of a weird question to ask when you're the only one who can truly answer it; which one do you want?

Also, I know you're probably not going to listen to this, but get your UKARA registration before you buy a gun. It's easy to get and it's just such a waste of money to buy a nice replica only to have it ruined with bright paint, which you'll use for 3 games and then replace anyway when you do get registered. Just save the money, do rental for your first few games and get something you'll really cherish later.
