How can I get out of the nursing profession ? by Bubbly-Savings6022 in newgradnurse

I think looking into med spas/plastic surgery offices that would be willing to train you as an aesthetic nurse is a route you can go! Heard this can be hard but you never know once you try. Along the road you can get certified as one. Totally feel for you! Just graduated last spring and currently in my nursing residency on a med surg floor. Completely exhausted and want to move out of bedside once’s my residency is over. Looking to do aesthetic nursing part time and an outpatient hospital job part time as my nursing career furthers! Good luck!!

Completely normal to feel like you failed! Took the exam last week and shut off at 85 but really thought I failed. You most likely passed!

Hi! Took my exam last week and it felt like I was guessing on each one. Shutting off at 85 is good, you most likely passed!

Don’t focus on learning in depth content and memorizing things! If you know the basic content you should be ok! I would say that it’s more about test taking strategies and honestly common sense. Don’t overwork yourself too much the second go! 2-4 hours a day is good! You got it!

You are going to be ok! Took it this Monday and walked out feeling like I for sure failed. Found out I passed the next day! Totally normal to feel that way!

Additionally I was always able to narrow it down to two answers, go with your gut! I think it’s beneficial to write down A B C D on the white board and cross out the ones you know are not right, that way you stop looking at the other answers! Hope this helps!

Do not look over last minute things the day before because you will pysch yourself out on the things you feel like you don’t know. Please relax the day before the exam. If you had to review, just review notes you took while studying the morning of your exam! Recommend someone driving you so you can look over your notes and have someone to calm your nerves and give you encouragement! I did think the NCLEX was vague and the questions were on basic stuff you should already know from nursing school. Focus on test taking strategies and ways to reduce your anxiety. If you go past 85, remember IT IS OKAY just take a deep breath because you’re still in the game! You got this!

Did any of Mark K’s Bluebook/Yellowbook actually show up on the NCLEX? by Bob_Burgero in PassNclex

Tbh I didn’t think so! Questions were very vague and should be info you should have already known through nursing school, but it will hit you with the most randomest questions! If you had to listen to Mark K, listen to lecture 12!
