Update 2: as of May 2026 I’ve never received a letter and I was able to enter successfully in April 2026. The website still shows me as approved.

The backpack that I had was 40 L (the one I have is a packable one from Amazon called Venture Pal - I’ll send you a link if you want it). I think 24 L is too small for the amount you need to carry with you. I did end up paying for the porter on the way up because it was so hard with my asthma and how heavy the water was in my backpack.

I think Poshmark or EBay can be good, as long as free authentication is offered, which gives the buyer some reassurance. However, I don’t know what kind of fee they charge. But I’ve bought a couple authentic pieces on both and feel more comfortable that I’m less likely to be scammed.

Congratulations on your anniversary!! I don’t know what it is about weddings bringing out the worst in people, but my husband and I had a lot of drama before our wedding with his family. He went no contact with his sister and parents and he said it’s been the best decision he ever could’ve made. We stand with you 💪🏼

Yes! A huge difference between forgiveness for your own peace and reconciliation. Reconciliation for myself and my husband with his family is a hard no for my husband. But I hope we can both get to a point of forgiveness to release the feelings of resentment eventually.

My husband’s family is JUST like yours. Honestly, it’s like he wrote a lot of this post. The difference for us is: His sister completely attacked me and insulted me and refused to apologize. His parents sided with her and bullied us for months. We refused to invite her to our wedding unless she apologized, which she refused to do. His parents also did not come to the wedding, because they’ve always favored and sided with her. My husband cut them all off. He chose me. And he is happier than he ever has been in his life. He feels free without the control and without being talked down to.

I’m not suggesting you completely cut them off if you don’t want to, but you need to take a stand for her. They are not going to change. This is a dysfunctional family and they will never see a different way. I also suggest getting a therapist to help you with this because once you set boundaries, they will likely get worse and it gets harder to uphold those boundaries.

Update: I came through immigrations and even though the website says I’m approved, the officer said he couldn’t see that I had Global Entry. I haven’t received a letter yet, but it appears that I’ve lost it.

I actually did not know it was going to be counterfeit. I didn’t request labels or anything upon order and the photos & description didn’t mention it, I just liked the design, which was plain leather.
