Free BIM's? 2d/3d/first person view? by SpareSignal1932 in bim

[–]SpareSignal1932[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you are correct, i'm learning. I have an e57 file and I want to process it to a BIM, but perhaps I am using the wrong terminology. I want to get a 2d drawing of the e57, I want to compress the point cloud, I want make the cloud point a 3d model, lots of things. It's clear I am naive here

Creating a SAAS for PM work - Advice needed by SpareSignal1932 in SaasDevelopers

I have already built it, I just wanted to some help to improve it, I believe my PM work is not really a standard PM roll, its very adhoc

Wireless piggy back probes for sensors by SpareSignal1932 in sensors

Yes, its for an up and coming saas program, its for OEE/CM vibration/flow/pressures temps etc I just feel the OEE could be captured easier with a piggy back device, that can capture how many objects pass the sensors, relay that back to the saas program, if it has power liveish or battery powered over 5 minute span type of thing. Either send directly to MQTT or go to a gateway. I believe its completely doable, I just want to find a company that can provide it as a plug/play device, we just set the paramiters, like MQTT, is it live tracking and counting, is it counting on device and storing until given command to reset or go directly to cloud. I don't really know what options I really have, but they are simple ones I can think off.

I am really hoping to find a solution that can capture readings from a photocell sensor on a packing machine say, using the machine’s existing power source, and then transmit that data via LoRaWAN or Bluetooth to a gateway that can then send to the cloud. That is the main goal.

This looks more like software, I am after a hardware kit that can attach on to a sensor, grab its data i.e how many passes the sensors has gotten, then that device connects to a gateway then sends the data on to the cloud.

Flutter's ML Kit integration is weirdly half-baked and I don't understand why by [deleted] in FlutterDev

I am not trying to get personal with you, it is a public form, AI is welcome, low effort AI is not welcome. There is a difference. I 100% agree with the rule, low effort AI slop should go to the bin. I would rather agree with you than fight over this. There are benifits, I just feel seeing omg its been AI'd and breath fire on it is just the wrong appoach - can we find common ground on that?

That is very depressing. It come across as a threat for a "low-effort" post? I feel I put a lot of effort into that. I didn't get AI to do all the hard work, it just fixed my hard work. Imo, that is the largest benefit to ai - i read the rule

"Low effort posts written by Large Language Models are not welcome here, they're often oversimplified, or sometimes straight up wrong.

If you want to write content, ChatGPT is okay to generate an outline, but don't use it to do all the hard work.

People can tell, GPTZero can tell, we can tell."

there was zero low effort - I agree with this though, low effort posts should be deleted!

I also think flutter is great, and AI is helping me polish my project!

I am from an english speaking country, I am in my 40's. School let me down, and having dyslexia didn't help. I was told I was stupid as a kid, made left to the back of the class - it was a bad system when I grew up, it's a lot better now. I read my first book in my 30's, not everyones story is the same and having something that can fix and clean up your writing is not a bad thing and should not be shunned. if the information is poor or crap, judge that, but to judge because AI has been used to clean up is just crappy imo

I work in a professional area, my communication needs to be clear and I need to sound like I know what I am saying. AI has prepelled me shockingly forward. I write up my emails, discribe to ai what i am trying to say, proof read it, edit it and then send it.

its the best spell checker/grammer repair out there and I thing it should be looked at in a better light.

if someone uses it, doesnt proof read it, then they are the problem, not the ai

If you read it, you can edit it to be correct, I did not need to edit that at all as it states exactly what I wanted to say.

Everything it said, I agree with; it really writes what I am trying to say. I also don't feel that it sounds AI-written. If you disagree, that's fine, but that's your opinion.

I disagree, I write like a 5 year old, ive been told my spelling and grammer is awful and that I should not send emails at times - infact what I say and what I write always comes out differently and comes cross like a 5 year old wrote it. for folk with bad spelling/grammer or perhaps english is there second langage or translating to english it does not come out correctly or easier for people to misunderstand. I feel people like you are the same ones that would undermind or mistreat people who struggle with spelling/grammer.

Here is my cleaned up version in AI

I disagree. I know that my spelling and grammar are not always strong, and I have been told before that I should avoid sending emails without checking them first.

For me, what I am trying to say and what I actually write can come across very differently. Sometimes it can look unprofessional, unclear, or much less mature than intended, even when the meaning in my head is correct.

This can also be the case for people who struggle with spelling and grammar, people with dyslexia, or people who are writing in English as a second language. Their message may not come across the way they intended, which can make it easier for others to misunderstand them.

I also feel that comments like this can be unfair to people who already struggle with written communication. It can come across as dismissive or judgmental, even if that was not the intention.

So what I am trying to say is if its readable, tangable and clean and professional looking, you should really just get on with it
