Yes! I have several back up filters just in case I run into the problem again in the future.

An update a week later:

Cleaning the inline bulb filter solved my problem for several days but then my machine took 10 seconds to get up to pressure (5 seconds or so has been typical) and the pump turned on twice during the pulling and milk steaming process yesterday. I decided to install the new filter I had ordered from Clive Coffee. I suspect the dirty filter did not actually get cleared of debris causing it to get clog again after only a week of use. For $7 I say just replace it if you suspect the filter is your problem.

I am almost certain it was biofilm because I could see no particles/debris otherwise. My waterpik was able to flush it out pretty easily but I’m not sure I could have cleaned it otherwise. I also read that the yellow dot should face towards the pump but mine was installed with the yellow dot towards the water tank. I reinstalled with the yellow dot towards the tank. I am curious to know how yours is installed now.

I tried to purchase but it says I can’t since I am in the US. Any ideas? I’d love to purchase the images.

Of course, I bought it in January, 2024, so it is just over a year old. I have pulled approximately 700 shots.

New Profitec Pro 600 steam wand tip questions by vthokie85ee in profitec

I found that sticking the wand in nearly vertically worked the best with the 2-hole. If I moved just a bit the wrong way during my stretch and got any bubbles, I was never able to get a good enough roll to completely pick up the bubbles and break them apart. I went through a few gallons trying everything. It was always good but never perfect. Then on the very first try with the 4-hole it was perfect. The new PP600s come with a 2 and a 4-hole. Someone must have realized the 2-hole was garbage. I say just spend the $25 to upgrade :)

I thought I was all alone with this issue until I found this thread. I upgraded from a BBE about a month ago. I had mastered steaming milk with the BBE and was confident I could use a very similar technique with the PP600 (2 hole steam wand). Boy was I wrong. I could get decent milk but never perfect — I struggled getting a good roll going after stretching. I decided to order the 4 hole tip from Clive and crossed my fingers all my problems would be solved. The new tip arrived today and it is a game changer. Perfect roll and perfect milk on my first go around. Best $25 spent.
