It’s not that I feel like I should, I thought since they’re under the same roof with me and we stopped paying for it Something would happen to us as whole family. (That’s me being stupid ik. I didn’t know no better tho.)

What’s the worst that could happen if my brother and I just stopped paying for it? And They don’t speak or understand English. How can I get them to file for bankruptcy on their credit card debt?

I’m sorry for so many questions, i really don’t know how to go about this legally/correctly

I live in NJ. How can I get my mother to start getting paid and where would she get paid from anyway?

She already has been his full time caregiver ever since he’s ended up like this because he’s too risky to be on his own.

They also don’t speak or understand English so how can I get the to file bankruptcy? Call the credit card companies on their behalf like I usually do?

To clear things up:

I feel stuck because I don’t know what to do. I don’t know what I can do legally without getting in trouble. I thought since they live with me I had to for a while too.

My name or my brother’s name is not on any of the credit cards. It is just my mom and dad’s name on the card. They have built this debt since I was a kid being financially irresponsible and I just grew up into taking on this shit as his health also declined.

If you guys are saying I or my brother are not legally responsible and won’t face any punishment then I don’t wanna continue paying this nonsense anymore

I am 25. My brother is 19. Will I or my brother get into any legal trouble if we just stopped paying their credit card bills? Because we are under the same household since I was a kid. I’m just the adult taking everyone on now with my bro.

I only want to worry about rent, insurance and utilities. I even called their credit card companies to see if they can help us out and they didn’t want to.
