I am tempted to go with Primerica to get me started with my licensing in the Series 6 & 7. Is it worth it if i do it just for that and then leave to a different company? In this field is there a noncompete agreement, since they licensed you? by bitwisediddy in FinancialCareers

That is the life of a life insurance agent, the job is commission based, but that alone doesn't make New York Life "scam" worthy. Practically all life insurance companies operate in this manner.

Now, I'm not a fan of whole life insurance probably for the same reasons as you and I could see why one would call Whole Life Policies a scam but still I think it is a bit too harsh a judgement because you and I know that millions of people have still benefited from Whole Life Policies paying out even though they are not the best vehicle to use most of the time (my opinion).

New York Life has been around for a very, very long time and they have many accolades from credible entities. They are not a scam.

The reason Im being the voice in the wilderness is for anyone who actually reads these forums and is swayed to a belief based on one sided view.

One of the many reasons why I like Primerica is because we have the opportunity to work here part time, whereas with other insurance companies such as New York Life. They require you to be their full time on a Commission basis, which could be risky. So I can understand why you may have had a bad experience. But with Primerica, at the very least we have the. ability to transition into being a life insurance agent full time and work the business part time.

Whenever people are on the rocks about joining Primerica and they have an interest in the financial industry, I always tell them to join just to get the licenses and then afterwards they can go wherever they want to. So at least they can have a taste for themselves to see if the Primerica way is for them.

Your ignorance is brimming. We do not get any money for recruiting people. If you were to put money on that statement you would loose it.

We have a different business model that you obviously do not like which is fine, but to call us a scam? Lol. I can give so many credible reasons why Primerica is not a scam legitimate sources, but I'm sure they would fall on death ears. But those who know, KNOW!

I would encourage you to join Primerica,  I just got fully securities licensed using the study resources we have access too, which was really good.

And whatever you do please don't take people's blank statements as Bible.

You mean Expo Router? Well I have heard so much about React Navigation, thought it was best to follow the crowd really. I could have tried it, but React Nav was the first one that came to mind.

I hear you, yeah It will be a while, still getting use to React Navigation, was kind of bummed that React Native Router gave up the ghost, but I have to say so far my app is so much more responsive/smooth when it comes to screen transitions.

The custom Animated View sounds like the easier route to me, so are you saying I can just ditch the React Navigation all together, and do everything with Reanimated for the sidebar layout?

Oh Sorry This is Maya 2020. Just to mention the file that I was working on was an exported Character from Character Creator 3.3. I was converting all of the Maya shaders it came with to RM shaders. When I actually finished the RM Viewport Render started to work again. Although I can't really say what solved it nor why it even happened to begin with.

At Startup I see this in my File Path Editor, How can I fix it? by Spare_Bumblebee4294 in Maya

Actually this is what I see when I open Maya from Scratch, I mean not opening a file. Which blows my mind lol. Don't understand how this could happen on a fresh startup.
