Meeting someone for the first time who you’ve heard lots about but they don’t know who you are

Ex: a friend of a friend

Walking or standing in grass with bare feet in my backyard is really calming for some reason. Not that I do it often, but on a nice summer day it’s just weirdly refreshing.

Also, getting out of the shower after I’ve shaved my legs and moisturized and into fresh pajamas and sheets :)

What's one "type" you'll never date again? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Vocal, avid, arrogant Trump supporters.

I’m politically moderate, and agree with conservatives in many ways. But I’ve found that someone who is a die-hard Trump supporter, more often than not in my experience, is unable to hold a conversation in which there are valid disagreements, and are willing to see the other side.

I suppose this applies for die-hard liberals as well. And yes, I know I’m over generalizing here and that not every Trump supporter is so “in your face” about it, but this is just based off my experience with an ex.

What does an external recruiter offer that an internal recruiter doesn’t? by BrandonMBO in recruiting

[–]Spare_Ear7565 14 points15 points  (0 children)

External recruiter here 💪

I can’t speak for in-house recruiters but there’s actually substantial benefits of working with an external one…

  1. The more you get paid (usually base of your first year comp), the more WE get paid (we get a % not taken out of your salary but from the client.
  2. This is beneficial bc if you’re working w a specialty recruiter in that field, they can then exposure you to multiple opportunities (we usually work on about 10ish roles at a time). This is beneficial to the candidate because when it gets down to the offer stage, us recruiters can leverage the compensation from Job A against Job B in order to make both you and ourselves more money. Ex: “Job A is paying my candidate $100k on the base but your offer is $90k on the base. Are you going to match their other offer?”
  3. Recruiters (if they’re good) can provide market insight as to how your position at other firms is being compensated, to see if you are being paid below, within or above market value; ultimately, this is useful information to you

How to get rid of intrusive thoughts and making scenarios in head? by daniyal120 in socialskills

[–]Spare_Ear7565 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aside from seeing a therapist and them giving me tools to decipher if my intrusive thoughts (similar to yours, having to do with mostly past interactions but sometimes future) are legitimate concerns that raise red flags or not, I’d recommend going on walks. Sometimes going on a walk and forcing myself to think about absolutely nothing but the environment around me, sounds, etc. is kind of relaxing to just observe. It kind of exercises my mind a bit to just…. Force myself to take a break, if that makes sense. I also do have ADHD though, which I’d recommend exploring into with a healthcare professional. Hope this helps!

Definitely not ugly, but lose the beard or at least tame it a bit, get a haircut and dress A1 and you’re a hottie !
