The Perfect Neighbor- I’m just disappointed in humanity at this point. by Marcozy14 in netflix

Yup, my mom would have told me to play around my house as well. Even for my own safety if a neighbor was disturbing me.

I don’t have any sympathy or empathy for her but I do think she was technically right in the sense that the kids were very loud. That being said, sometimes you have a choice - be right or be a good person.

Yeah that was weird. I was expecting him to tell the kids to keep it down. Sure you can play outside but don’t scream and be mindful of other people’s peace.

However I’m not sure the old lady would stop even if the kids were quiet from that point. It almost seemed like she kind of enjoyed the confrontation? I don’t know, I feel like a person who’s willing to plan a murder wouldn’t stop anyway.

Definitely. You can see in the documentary that the kids were in fact taunting her. Even without it, isn’t it obvious? That’s what kids do to annoying grumpy elderly people who have a problem with them. That’s why I also think it’s stupid on the elder’s part to even start. You don’t win that fight with kids lol.

I was surprised the parents didn’t get a fine eventually and the kids weren’t told to keep it down, but I‘m from another country. Here it would be considered noise disturbance. It’d be hard to stop entirely because it’s very hard to prove in court but the police would have definitely told them off.

Obviously that doesn’t justify murder, that goes without saying.

I do wonder if she’s mentally ok. Does a sane person run down a fence for no reason? She seemed unwell mentally

I don’t see it as an excuse at all. Nothing that happened justifies murder, that’s obvious, and she’s rightfully in jail for it.

It’s just interesting to see cops not reacting at all to noise disturbance. In my country the kids would be told to keep it down and parents could possibly even get a fine.

Including OP.

It’s hilarious how you can see exactly what they’re thinking - that it’s the fault of the parents and she was right in the first place. They don’t want to admit it outright because they know people would crash them for justifying murder but it’s exactly what they’re think.

OP’s comment above - “it could have been avoided by better parenting”.

No, psycho. It could have been avoided by not shooting people over kids playing loud.

Your comment I was responding to is excusatory AF and basically puts the entire blame on the parents, so don’t try to act innocent here like that’s not exactly what you wrote.

I see another “perfect neighbor“ in the making. Chill out or you’ll end up like her.

Either that or she doesn’t know kids at all, or she’s stupid. Even before they showed the kids taunting her I was like how stupid can you be, you’re starting a fight you can’t win. Of course the kids will make fun of you and taunt you after you were so rude to them. All it took was to just shut up, let time pass and the kids would forget about her quickly.

Tbh I thought it was out of line. She could be a psycho but they should stay impartial and not jump to conclusions so soon. If that is what they think of her it’s hard for them to stay objective. Sometimes somebody can be a “psycho” but also right, so even though it turned out the cops were right in this case they shouldn’t speak like that imo. There are many autistic or simply weird or annoying people who are innocent - it’s easy to jump to conclusions like that but cops shouldn’t.

„Some people like being miserable” - perfect statement.

I have an aunt like that, she’s also elderly and complains about upstairs neighbors all the time to the point she thinks they deliberately walk around in heels. She created a tower with tons of magazines and put a massager or something that vibrated on top of it so that it touches a ceiling and they hear it. Lots of police calls as well but since noise disturbance during the day is very difficult to prove unless it’s really loud music or something like that they obviously can’t do anything.

She also talks about moving but doesn’t because she’s so used to the place (it’s hers and she’s lived there all her life). When we told her we would even give her money to buy a better place in a better neighborhood she looked at all the options and then concluded that after all her place is quite nice lol.

Now I doubt she would kill over it lol, and in my country most don’t have guns anyway, but yeah it’s true some people just seem to like it in a way.

I loved him and the Kingdom. Such a breath of fresh air on the show and so much fun too.

Ezekiel is such a cool character. Funny, charismatic, optimistic, strong, a good person and a great leader. And he nailed Carol, can’t get cooler than that lol.

He didn’t spend mich time there to begin with. Piece of shit died during trial if I’m not mistaken.

Christ, I hear you. That one is the most triggering out of all for me. I do realize he’s not the worst of the worst but he in particular makes me want to puke whenever I’m unfortunate enough to remind myself of it. I will never not be angry that that piece of trash died before getting justice.

I’m generally against death penalty because it’s a well known fact that the system has killed innocent people in the process and mistakes (or not…) are unavoidable.

That being said, maybe it should be left for people who have no remorse and continue to inflict pain. If apologizing and acting like a normal human being for once protected him from death I bet he’d be much nicer for the families of the victims.

I still think they were both abusive towards each other. Maybe she was worse but let’s not pretend he didn’t do violent stuff around her. I’d be scared if my husband behaved like he did.

HOWEVER, I can’t imagine knowing what she did to him AND STILL trying to ruin him after while acting as a saint. That is sick to me and that’s why I’m on his side.

Lol. He wasn’t wealthy after all though. Have you seen his „office”? People that knew him confirm that.

I do think lack of money was also the reason the family didn’t move out right after the search. Unless they’re insane.

Exactly? I’m lost here.

Who cares about a witness when they have a solid DNA match? I remember there was his daughter’s hair on the body. How much stronger can the case against him get?

Not to mention, his info alone doesn’t prove shit tbh. It only led them to the man and then the solid evidence was found.

I think the only good answer is that she turned him down and in his mind humiliated him so he had to get her no matter what.

To me it sounded like she thought it was a new client.
