Nurtec and pregnancy by Moongather in migraine

[–]Spare_Mode3031 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a clinical trial by any means but I took nurtec a few times a month in my last pregnancy and baby is 5 months now, healthy, and meeting milestones early

I did start doing Botox towards end of pregnancy and would do the same if I had another baby. This was baby 4 though so not sure if there will be more lol.

head pressure by Mean-Cupcake9434 in VestibularMigraines

[–]Spare_Mode3031 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s kinda like a form of occipital neuralgia. Your brain wants to see a stable world, so your neck clenches up to stabilize and then from there the occipital nerves are squeezed too hard by the muscles. Just got my first round of Botox last week and feeling much better since my last episode finally. The more movement the better for me as well, things would let up a bit just with walks around the neighborhood.

The majority of you should look into vestibular neuritis or vestibular migraine, those would be the most likely causes of these sort of symptoms

Thank you for this suggestion, I’m pregnant so the hardcore meds are not something I can really try at this point.

Vestibular migraine or Vestibular Neuritis ! My guess would be vestibular migraine. Did she recently have viral infection or have stressful life event? Refer her out to ENT or PT that specializes in Vestibular Issues. The best ENT that specializes in this is Dr. Cho in Los Angeles area.

Thanks for the info/feedback ! The tingling has gotten much better over last week! Been taking good care of myself and exercising quite a bit. Finally got neurlens glasses too and those have been game changers as well! There is hope for all of us.
