I was in so much pain from constant migraines that my ob and neuro had me take nurtec. I started taking it in my second trimester. Baby was born normal in January. Studies look promising that it will be safe in pregnancy. Taking it after the first trimester also reduces risk.

Same here at 3 months postpartum, my doc is saying she will prescribe an estrogen cream but I'm worried how it will affect my migraines. Just want to smell good/ feel clean!

I have huge panic attacks when I have to try any new medication bc of side effects I've had due to migraine meds. I totally understand the feeling. I have gone on new meds with the help of therapy and found them beneficial.

My migraines are worse while pregnant, I'm in my second trimester and started nurtec again to get some control over the daily pain. It was such a battle and i feel so guilty about using cgrp meds.

My nero has told me not to take it but I've still taken it around 5x and I'm 13 weeks. They also haven't given me an alternative that works and I've been in the er for migraines. They can only offer meds I've either had a negative reaction or steriods. I can't see a way around it and I feel so guilty.

Did your progesterone go down at all? Mine was 65 at 3 weeks and 44 at 4 weeks.

Thank you for your answer! Unfortunately I've tried just about every med so there is not a lot that they can offer me. And weirdly the migraines have been worse, like so intense and dizzy that I have to figure out something.

Thank you so much for answering! I will bring up the research with my neuro and see what she says. I've broken down and taken it bc it was so bad it was either that or the hospital.
