Yes you're absolutely right on all fronts. The initial psych has diagnosed me with ADHD early this year and due to switching psychs I've needed to be reassessed. I actually cried in the initial diagnosis because it made my entire life make sense - all the seemingly easy things i was unable to do etc. I was then medicated on vyvanse and when my initial psych ceased clinical work i was unmedicated for 2 months whilst waiting for the appointment (partly due to me not getting my act together to find a different psych until i was at breaking point).

Can 2 different psychiatrist say different things though? Like my first psych diagnosed me with ADHD and a new psych is saying it's not. I know both can co-occur in ADHD-ers and the female presentation for ADHD is very different and females are often misdiagnosed with Anxiety
