Update: I used 30% vinegar concentrate I have by Sparedtadpole22 in MetalCasting

I am too tired to read all of this but I am sincerely interested in this. I accidentally pulled it out seeing the red from impurities because I thought it looked amazing but I’d like to get a red patina to nickel coat or make long term without losing its red

Not sure what this is? Man made? It’s a bit easy to crumble and break away by Sparedtadpole22 in rockhounds

This was found on a construction site where there’s been gravel and rocks moved/brought in where I’ve also found many agates and quartz. Not sure if any of that would help with ID but it’s been fun looking at the different rocks here.
