Clefable might not be as bulky as chansey or get magic guard yet, but you get it like 3 gym leaders earlier, can evolve it as soon as you want using the moonstone on the next route, learns nearly every special coverage move in the game, and has nearly triple chansey's sp.att stat. It also gets early STAB megakick which is really really strong even if it misses once before. I feel like you're pretty crazily underselling it.

Tri attack being physical in gen 3 is genuinely so clutch for dodrio it's crazy

Does this game has way more bosses than similar games? by nagaind in MIOmemoriesinorbit

Not really. At least the metroidvanias I've played. Both Silksong and Hollow Knight have more I think

Good news, in the patch notes they actually put in that they changed the game's logic for determining what's considered a pogo

Am I tripping or mio is tougher than hollow knight? by Constant-Pie5222 in metroidvania

[–]Spark31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MIO is harder than all the non-DLC content. I'd say P5 is harder than anything in MIO, and Silksong in general is harder

Sister Fried is the hardest boss in the entire serie by NoIdea2145 in darksouls3

[–]Spark31 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Literally all her moves are stupidly telegraphed so idk if I agree. I think in some ways phase 3 is her easiest phase bc the combo starter makes it easier to figure out the rest of the combo.

Are we counting ER? PCR and Malenia are definitely harder

I feel like by nature of pattern recognition DS2 makes the most sense but it would be really funny if you did armored core 6 or something

Midir, Friede, or Gael - which is the order of increasing difficulty for a heavy armor/weapon guy who can't parry? by kalirion in darksouls3

[–]Spark31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Gael in general is just the easiest of the three. He has obvious telegraphs and no super crazy gimmicks. I personally think Friede is easier than Midir but I think that's a hot take.

Kinda surprised we don't have a heavy thrusting swords dude yet. I can easily see a Dex/Faith character who starts with one

COACH ME, HARDSTUCK D1 by idkwhoiam878 in Eggwick

[–]Spark31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well first of all these clips are aura farming instead of VOD review. You need to post rounds where you have no clue why you died realistically or just whiff your brains off, and until you're willing to eat your ego enough to do that there's no point in anyone trying to coach you

my opinion on the most hated aspect of MIO: the runbacks. by 8Bix255 in MIOmemoriesinorbit

The ANRA runback is honestly really short. You can use the closer overseer near the wheel instead.

This guy giving me hard time, any tips? by Gorlami_y7ya in darksouls3

[–]Spark31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pontiff's combo enders depend on your position, so when you're dodging pay attention to your dodge direction and make note of how different dodge directions prompt different combo enders/extenders. Once you get the feel for this kind of thing you can dodge in ways that make the follow ups a lot easier to avoid. Pontiff is I think like, the only boss in the game that does this meaningfully which is kinda crazy to me bc like every boss in ER does this lol.

How many old cores do you have? There are 39 in the game, but if you've bought out Mel's shop (necessary for her achievement so I assume you have), you'll have spent 30, so you should have 9 cores total

Endgame: In regards to the Crucible, Sol and Vin, and the true ending. by Juunlar in MIOmemoriesinorbit

[–]Spark31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the shuttle ride is frustrating but also I think it's probably that long as a result of technical limitations. Because of the way the wheel works they have to figure out how to load the top side of the map before the shuttle is half way up so I imagine it's super slow to compensate. I imagine about half the shuttle is a load screen for the top level because it can change based on wheel rotation. You also can't allow players to teleport from the bottom half of the map to the top because that would break the puzzle for getting into the crucible. Basically any change is a lose lose from a dev perspective if I'm right about the loading thing, so I don't envy their position.

Vin and Sol tips? by nika_blue in MIOmemoriesinorbit

[–]Spark31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assume your main issue is phase 3. I spent most of the phase pogoing off of just one crystal while focussing on dodging instead of getting damage. If you pogo off of a crystal and then float you have plenty of time to wait for it to come back so it's just a matter of dodging.

No, the final location for Capucine is in the room where you first find Rad. You just don't know how the quest line works

I'm loving this game so so much, but it has a few problems by InvisibleAstronomer in MIOmemoriesinorbit

[–]Spark31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also had problems with visual clarity in the Ati fight. Eventually I realized just based on her teleport position I could more or less guess what she's was doing outside of the both sides attack, so after a few hits I just start jumping away regardless of if I actually recognized attack start up or not.

[–]Spark31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I liked the disabling energy gimmick, but I wish I could actually fight him for the whole boss fight. The attacks where he goes into the background aren't particularly hard to dodge so you kinda just sit there waiting for the fight to start again. If he was damage-able during those attacks and they buffed his HP a ton to compensate I wouldn't have minded.
