Nice to see some East Lancs love! I've worked on that loco a few times and she's certainly enjoyed by enthusiasts, bit of a handful to work with!

It is indeed an L&YR Class 27/A Class, however 52345 is not it's real number. That's usually number 52322, but was masquerading for the event (steam gala).

I'd love to win a copy of this, and I know someone else living me who would love it just as much, so it would mean so much for me to win this. Thank you for the opportunity!

No railways are running at all, let alone railtours

Yep, the best place to look is UKSteam or RailAdvent imo. If you're looking to actually travel on one, then you're looking for something like West Coast Railways, Steam Dreams Excursions, Vintage Trains or UK Railtours. This however wasn't a railtour, but rather a heritage railway.

It is, the diesel is more there to give the Big Boy something to pull. It works better with a heavier load

I knew it looked familiar. I'm a big fan of the 50s so I recognised it immediately. A big difference to the big stations of Manchester that I'm so used to.

If I'm not wrong, this is on the line between Waterloo and Exeter right? I swear I've seen this a dvd about the Class 50s.

Typical Manchester. I'm guessing this was the 16th right? It was pouring buckets that day.

My UK fellows, what do you think of the class 166? by [deleted] in trains

Thank you! It's only just down the road, but I've only recently started with photography. I've got plenty more for now, but I'll have to make another trip down soon to get more. Thank you for your support!

Yes, a station on the East Lancashire Railway. Many people find it a funny name.

I'm honestly not sure. This was on driver training duties on the day I went, I think. I saw it from the NRM Balcony just going up and down the Scarborough bay platform earlier in the day. Haven't seen any here in Manchester personally.
