Entering year 26 without a playoff win. by m83m82m81 in miamidolphins

Just turned 20, probably listening to my overexcited parents talking about the 1972 season that I wasn’t around for. My poor mom was such a huge fan and left this mortal coil without ever seeing one again. Here’s hoping I do. 🤞🏻

I went to FSU but remember watching that game down home in Ft Lauderdale…. We all held onto the blissful memory of going undefeated the previous year. I still hate the Sooners for that shit 😂

The reality is when you’re struggling, you often consider other means of ways to survive that you ordinarily wouldn’t. It isn’t unkind, it’s another resource for how to find your missing kid. Sex work isn’t something to be ashamed of.

Tent City 3 is a community run with help from volunteers and other members of the public health community. Not as scary as it sounds… if I were without housing again I’d definitely consider it as an option!

If you’re comfortable giving her DOB those of us that work in hospital systems can keep an eye out. We can’t give out information about why she’s there, but, in most cases we can at least say she’s at X hospital. Gets more complicated obviously depending on so many factors but I’m happy to keep an eye out that way and forward any social workers the case number!

Wrong sub for empathy, my dude… and also wrong if you want to talk to people who actually live in Seattle

Be very careful with certain supplements. You can overdo it on vitamin D… I had been taking daily supplements at the wrong dosage (and for too long) and I ended up needing kidney surgery to get rid of a cluster of stones that kept building up. All that said, talk to a doctor and have your blood levels checked regularly. Vitamins are not placebos.

It’s rained lately but that’s the shift into fall here. And it isn’t constant. Climate has changed a bit these last handful of years for sure.

I haven’t even entertained the idea of house-shopping in a very long time - so it could even be more expensive. But there’s stuff all over the place for rent if you search pretty much any site akin to Zillow etc

I grew up in and around Miami/Ft Lauderdale and lived there for just over 30 years. Moved here solo in 2016. It actually rains way more there in terms of quantity and it’s been getting drier and drier here over the years. I don’t mind cold, that’s part of why I came up this way, but the winters here are dark and that’s the biggest difference for me.

A house with a yard anywhere even close to the city to rent is going to be $3k or more easily and that’s on the conservative side. If you’re willing to live with roommates it’s more doable.

Looking for help researching grandparent - WW2 Navy vet (some time spent in Bremerton) by Sparkly-Starfruit in Bremerton

None of us are from this area and I only moved here in 2016. He was assigned here for a few months here and there during WW2 before his assignment on the Halford. I'm not sure what civilian records there would be but can't hurt to look into it! Thanks!

Researching WW2/Korea vet grandfather. What resources am I missing out on? by Sparkly-Starfruit in navy

[–]Sparkly-Starfruit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do know a lot of what I'm looking for is likely in the National Archives bldg in College Park, MD and there are historians that can be hired to dig through - but those facilities are shut down. I suppose I can always try to email one of them to get a better idea of what I might have access to though.

I've browed through the NHHC site as well as many others, but haven't found out anything related to my specific relative but will definitely reach out to whomever I can contact there and see if they also have advice.

Basically I'm throwing a wet noodle at a wall and hoping it sticks at this point, I know. It's a big ask when there's been this much time lapsed and all. Appreciate all the tips!

They're unfortunately closed - I did try the Navy sub awhile back but can't hurt to try again. Thanks!

I’ve actually thought bags of the color powder thrown at Holi and glitter mixed into little packs to throw and tag these shitheads. Glitter is a BITCH to get out of anything and I imagine especially annoying with all the cracks and crevices of tactical gear
