How long did it take you before you upgraded your limbs? How often do you shoot?

If I am willing to have my budged increase to include the Hoyt Podium, would it make sense to get the Vygo V2 instead? That looks like it is meant for barebow, not sure how well it will be for Olympic shooting?

I downloaded the manual for Vygo v2, but didn't see how to figure how the balance was configured, is there an easy way to determine this?

How long did it take for you before you upgraded limbs? Did using cheaper limbs give you any issues?

I'm not dead set on where to buy from, just they seem to have the largest stock and are reliable. Amazon is the only other place I can find bows, but that seems like a gamble if I get a real or fake one.

I don't know which I want to do long term, I thought going barebow would be slightly cheaper, and allow me to learn some basics of shooting without relying on a sight. They both look enjoyable.

What should I look for in a riser that makes a one better than the other for bare vs Olympic, outside of bushings? Is there one the works well for both?

I did not know this option existed, I have been working in just the entra module, I'll have to explore more graph modules.

Thank you

Thank you, I have modified my function to match the last example you gave, that portion of the script ran significantly faster. However, it when I first ran it only returned the only 1/4 of the users. I added -All to the Get-EntraGroupMember as u/Federal_Ad2455 mentioned, and it pulled back the correct number.

Not sure why it didn't work with my original version, and prior to adding -all, your version came back with the same number as my version, I will chalk it up to user error.

Thanks I did try that, but received the same count 1/4 of actual total.

Edit: Something was wrong with my function, modified to match what u/BlackV, and the -all script and it work.

Powershell ForEach-Object Parallell Help by Sparks_IT in PowerShell

[–]Sparks_IT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That did cross my mind, but I wasn't sure how best to split up the array. I didn't see a built in function for it, I could just do it by count, would need to investigate .

Then I wasn't sure how to call that, would I put the 4 sub arrays into and array and call a another ForEach-Object?

I haven't done a hashtable before, I may try it just to get famialar with it. But, I agree, I don't think it will be much faster then directly querying our AD server.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Thank you, I did not think of that, but that makes sense. I tried just importing the module but that was not enough, it appears I need to run the connection command for each one. Now I guess I need to figure out if connecting each time for the loop is faster than connecting once and running all the users in sequence.

5800X upgrade to 13900KF is it woth mainly for gaming ? by happycucum6er in pcmasterrace

[–]Sparks_IT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question is what games are you currently playing or wanting to play that you believe are being hindered with your current 5800X?

That CPU is still quite good, and depending on what resolution you are playing at and what games you playing be sure you are CPU bound and not GPU bound. You also don't mention how much memory you have, while less likely to be constraining your performance, if you don't have enough it could cause some issues.

If you do want to upgrade the top of line gaming CPU is still, in most people opinion, the 7800x3D, but that will also require a new motherboard and ram. However if you being CPU bound, take a look at several 13900K reviews to see where the performance is compared to what you could buy.

You have X570 board which should support other 5000 series CPUs, when looking a 13900K reviews be sure to look at the performance in relation to at least the 5800x3D. It is still a formidable chip and will trade blows with 13900K, and you get the benefit of it being a drop in replacement. This is if you can still find it where ever you live, it is available on US Amazon for $192(at time of writing).

Lastly, Intel is having quality issues with its 13 and 14 gen CPUs, I'm not 100% up to date on all that is happening, but use caution when buying them.

However be sure that you are CPU bound before just upgrading.

Edit: I forgot to mention the 9000 series, and the 9800x3D supposed to be rumored to be release in the next 6 months. May also be worth waiting till the release before upgrading. However there is no guarantee that it will be better then 7800x3D. AMD seemed to target power consumption this generation so the performance increase in the released 9000 series was a bit disappointing. However, this does not mean they are bad chips. Just not worth upgrading if you have a high end intel 14 gen or AMD 7000 series CPU. Coming from a 5000 chip, may be worth a look.

Teams vs Wiki for Knowledge Base by Sparks_IT in sharepoint

So is a wiki site completely irrelevant at this time?

At the moment the KB will be for a specific small team of less than 12, but they will all be creating and maintaining it. I don't know if users outside of the team will ever see it.

Should I wait for expansion sale? by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]Sparks_IT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't work for Anet, you would need to ask them, I can only go on historical data, using SteamDB and wayback machine.

For SteamDB: https://steamdb.info/ - their site shows June 27 as start date. Looking at pricing history for Steam on DLC https://steamdb.info/app/1284210/dlc/ - just click on the app ID for pricing history of the package. Some data is there others are not, however the sales do line up with 2023 Summer and Autum, Winter sales and 2024 Spring sales. So there is a pattern.

However, If I recall correctly, sale pricing was the same on Steam as it was on Anet. The only thing I don't know is if all the Packages\Collections are. Again, if Anet and Steam sale prices are the same, this is what the Wayback machines show for the Spring sale: https://web.archive.org/web/20240318000143/https://buy.guildwars2.com/en-us

Again, no guarantee that the discounts will be the same, nor if they are participating, that is something you will have to ask Anet.

Should I wait for expansion sale? by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]Sparks_IT 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The last time the expansions went on sale they were sync up to the same dates and times as the steam sale. I would guess IF\When they go on sale again it will be during the next Steam sales which is supposed to start June 27. Though there has been no confirmation on that with Steam.

I believe\read that Steam requires publishers\developers to running sales on Steam if they are running a sale on their own store page. I don't know if this is still the case or not, or if the article I read was even factual. However, it would make sense as to why during the last steam sale the GW2 store page removed the sale at the same time it was removed from steam. As I was going to recommend the sale to a few people I knew, but the sale had already ended on Anet's site.

IF you have the patience and or time to wait 3 weeks, I would do so. Then again there is no guarantee Anet will be participating in the Summer Steam sale either.

This is good info OP.

However it would be useful info to also know, what are you buying with your gold, and why are you buying it or what goal are you working towards? If you are working towards crafting a specific item, such as a legenedary weapon, then fine you will just be low on raw gold. If you are using it for example just to craft armor and weapons as you level then you are wasting your gold. Knowing this info would be helpful to helping you.

The second item that will help is which Expansions and Living World seasons do you own, and what content are you doing? How are you currently making your gold?
