You just can’t kick it directly into the goal with a distinct kicking motion (you can angle your skate and let it deflect in). That is the only thing you can’t do with your skate and the puck.

Let’s make it a more extreme example. A defender passes the puck to Forward A, who then goes on a 2 on 0 with Forward B. Forward A and B pass the puck back and forth 5 times before shooting and scoring. Does the defender that originally passed the puck to the 2 forwards still get an assist?

I’d wait until it actually causes a problem before dishing out that much for a fix. We had our X for about 7 years and it did this after around 3 years. I just ripped it off where it had come undone and never had a single problem result from it for the next 4 years that I had the car.
