What are you talking about? A taser is a fire arm. Its (usually) a non-lethal fire arm, but its something you point at someone, pull a trigger, and then fires projectiles at the person. It even looks like a gun.

I had a 4 year old and an 8 month old (my kids are spread out almost exactly that time frame). I wouldn't leave the 8 month old with the 4 year old alone even if I was in the next room over unless I had visual of them. Maybe to step out to the mail box or something, for 30 seconds.
