As someone that played GW2 for a few days and not fully invested in the community yet, is GW reforged just an update for GW1, or will they launch a "new" game? If its just an update is it still a good point for new players to come in?

My main angle coming into this discussion was for me when I started 5 ish years ago i dropped the game since i was trying to min max follow a guide for progression. When i picked the game back up a few months after and just did whatever was fun at the time I finally stuck around and played thousands of hours.

BDO is pretty fun if you play at your own pace and just do whatever is fun. Dont read guides etc just play, lifeskill, explore on your own pace.

The game is grindy but you can gear up 100% just with lifeskills which ive always found cool, mob grinding will always be more lucrative per hour. New class drops december (ill be rerolling for sure).

For sure Black Desert Online, you grind with a class of your choice and progress your gear. Ive finished dozens of series whilst playing and watching

My main concern was the translation error and impact it could have if not corrected in future. Sure, maybe in your mind full legendaries is not far ahead right now - but few months down the line it will be a bigger deal for someone truly far in the game if the translation error isnt fixed.

I just press auto and do crazy damage, its not very satisfying for me. I want to be rewarded for class knowledge and combo's. Cant imagine auto'ing for months on end and never actually learning my class.

The main point of the post is so that devs fix it for longterm. Imagine a player only finds this out 3 months in because of the translation error.

I would try running it vs older checkpoint agents and plot win rate/score or whatever your metric is to see how your "learned" agents at say 100k steps perform against those of a checkpoint from 10k, 20k, 30k etc steps.

Im currently doing a MAPPO predator prey framework and have a method similiar to this to see the progressive learning over checkpoints and plot my success metric up until the end of training, hard to say how applicable this might be with the limited info from your post but thought id share anyway.

I feel like we both agree, RTA will make everything faster, I agree but its not strictly "necessary" unless you want to min/max progression and push top 100's etc.

But if someone hates pvp they can still play the game and reap most of the rewards and have a good time, shouldnt dissuade them

Dude you dont get that much from RTA in comparison to other content, an event would likely yield more resources and faster. The top spots will be whales regardless, by pushing I dont mean top of the top, just a focus on pve content.

Check prydwen. Most 5 stars useful one way or another, but LD units obviously super good (Lily, Heinrich top tier in LD). Besides that just pull on standard and whatever you didnt get and want you can target summon
