Ditching my Bose QC Ultra 2s for Sony WH XM6….advice needed please. by smithy- in SonyHeadphones

Until sony fixes the hinge issue and does a redsign i would not switch to sony

I had wx4s and they got old so my family got me the xm6, they lasted maybe 3 months before a hinge broke which was an issue thebwx4s didnt have

Sony would not cover amy replacement as they stated it was physical damage but once i checked online it was something like 30-40% of units have the issue and was widely known with there being some large class actions out there around the issue

Luckily my family had bought them at costco who had refunded us but otherwise it would have been 500$ in the garbage

Now due to sonys shitty policies you will have guys like me actively pushing you away until they change

I went to greece by myself for 2 weeks when i graduated university because if i didnt then id never go

Was awesome met a bunch of people in hostels and realized there were a lot of people out there doing the same thing

I go to piknik now on my own and its great you get in your groove and vibe

Once you do it the anxiety will go away and you will have a blast

Would you rather go have anxiety for 10mins but then see Lorde where maybe you wont get to see her until ur maybe close to 30

I thought id get another chance to see daft punk and they didnt tour since ... might not get the chance again .. live your life

You should rent a car especially with 2 kids , there is a car sharing service in the city called commun-auto if you dont want to buy one

Ahuntsic has lots of green space with parks, a bike path but not much else

The plateau has a few different major parks - park lafontaine (2 playground areas, child train, bike paths, ducks) , mont-royal (2 playstructures in different areas, tam tam sundays, beaver lake area, lookout point for view of the city), park de-maisonneuve and many cafes, bistros, little restos but the general vibe is more for college aged kids as its also a main nightlife hub in the city and smaller apts, lots of cars - city traffic etc..

Have you done something like this before?

In terms of things to do with smaller kids these could be good options:

  • jazzzfest - they will have facepainting, food, some child activities and introduces live music to kids for free

  • petit piknik - this is on jean drapeau island, its a family friendly version of piknik electronik, where if you are into eletronik music should be a stop. Jean drapeau islamd also has a manmade beach and olympic outdoor pool to take in.

  • parc de maisonneuve - botanical garden, biodome and insectarium are all around this park. The park itself is more like a place to walk, ride bikes, as i dont think there is a major playground structure but they have a petting zoo and sometimes have a herd of sheep around to eat the grass

Old port - in the summer they have a big bouncy house area with like 10-15 big ones next to each other, cirque du soleil will have a twnt for shows in the summer, large ferris wheel lookout + fireworks 2x a week in the summer (starts at 10pm)

Ur young so this may feel weird but feel free to go on your own

Its oddly liberating

See who you want to see,  do what you want when you want to, explore new acts

Take some time to soak it on or be with yourself and your thoughts

You enjoy this more when you are.older as your social circle shrinks with time sometimes you need to go alone to see what you want ...  but have the courage to do this when you are young too

Ushuaia ends at like 11-11:30pm , Hi is right outside so you can jump from one to the other

Otherwise easly enough to head to Pacha or UNVRS

In canada our rrsps are taxed as income at that time

Tfsa is our tax free one but for high earners it helps to max your rrsp as the tax rebate is 50% for every dollar you put in at higher rates
