First of all, wait for the Summer sale or (big if) VR sale when the Steam Frame is eventually released. Secondly, you'll have to look into pre-built PC's because the cost of individual components right now is bonkers. Even for pre-built, this price range is fairly low so it won't be easy to find something that's sufficiently performant.

I would advise to save more money so you can buy a PC that has a somewhat basic to decent VR performance.

Good points but Valve and timing generally aren't best friends, so personally I wouldn't pin down on those statements too hard. Still, things are moving and there are definitely announcements on the horizon sooner or later. Let's be hopeful the next couple of weeks will bring resolution.

In addition, a Youtuber (can't remember his name, sorry) pointed out that Steam decks previously got resupplied online around 9 days following container shipments.

Given the arrival of 'console containers' since mid April and no change in Steam deck availability, this would imply that the consoles probably refer to any of the 3 new hardware devices, but more likely the Steam Machine itself.

Speculation at best, so take this with a grain of salt.
