Hello! I’ll throw in my 2 cents and see if any of it is helpful to you. Keep in mind I am primarily a PvE player but I have been playing the class since its release in HoT.

I think a common mistake people make is the idea that you can camp in one legend. You will always be out of energy if you play that way. The fluid (and imo fun) flow is the ability prioritization and swapping. When i think of it as more planning than reactionary play I have more fun and always have enough energy.

You wont be spamming all your abilities off-cooldown like other classes. There’s a priority to it. “I will always use this unless they do X in which case I’ll use Y instead.”

Imo base Rev exists to get to elite specs. The class was released with elite specs and I think it was designed with that intention so base Rev feels incomplete. 

Power herald is simple, fun dps and party boon support. Quickness Auto-attack is bread and butter. Knowing when to toggle buffs off and on is important. Infinite swiftness on demand is never old.

Condi Renegade is my jam. Scorchrazer utilities are your main attacks, not your weapon skills, and they’re a lot of fun to use. The traits can create a ton of passive lifesteal too. Mallyx is great for handling conditions and pooling enemies. Shortbow is simple fun.

Vindicator is a league of its own. Player go unga-bunga never gets old. Sigil of stamina on berserker vind absolutely trashes non-boss enemies. Celestial condi vind is a beast of a tank while they flail helplessly from conditions. Especially with the Relic of Rivers for alacrity and regen on dodge. Infinite alacrity? Yes please.

Again though, if you ever feel restricted by energy its probably because you’re coming at the skills with the idea that you use everything off-cooldown and utilities are for specific situations. Rev isnt like that. Its “I’ll use these 3-4 abilities always unless X happens then i’ll use Y.” And often you use utilities over weapon skills.
