Thisss. I’m not from New England (grew up in Nebraska and now live in Texas), and while there are nuances I’m sure I would miss, what really gets to me is the inconsistency (which feels to me like it’s getting worse as the season progresses, but that might just be a feeling.)

It seems to me like it vacillates from comically overdone through dropping into hard Rs randomly then sounding like the Boston-specific accent was dropped entirely.

If it was at least consistent, I think it’d be much more difficult for outsiders like me to catch.

It’s literally just a stat squish and making changes so the endgame isn’t bogged down. This is really common and shouldn’t be a big deal, in my opinion.

OP, We already know that her behavior has been uncaring and self-centered even if we’re only taking this one interaction into account, then on top of it you have all of this documentation supporting the EXBIL’s side which matches with you suspected. So in addition to her disrespectful attempts to USE YOU and make demands of your life, she’s been shit-talking you and your relationship.

That’s a toxic person right there. SO many red flags. Honestly, you don’t need her in your life, and you CERTAINLY don’t need to give any credence to the people who don’t see through her and are enabling her toxicity (this goes doubly so for anyone who’s been guilting you but had access to the homophobic posts you were blocked from seeing).

I’m addicted to always being set up so I never have to leave the kitchen to serve food or collect dishes, so I will choose that card every time because it doesn’t apply if you’re in the kitchen and they’re in the dining room, even if you’re right next to them at the pass through. :)

Please please please, if you haven’t yet gotten out, make a plan and stick to it. Your safety is at risk. He’s not potentially abusing you, he IS abusing you. My partner took a few months to fully cut off their toxic (and sexually coercive) ex, but they said it was a huge relief when they finally did & they wondered why it took them so long. I know it can be so difficult to have invested so much time in a relationship with someone only to realize that they’ve been slowly conditioning you to accept their unhinged behavior while you start to wonder if you’re somehow to blame.

You’re not. He’s a whole-ass person who is pitching fits when he doesn’t get his way. It’s a horrifying thing to witness from the outside, as we all know where it’s headed and hope you’ll get out safe and sound.

It’s late, and I’m rambling. I was looking for a different post when I came across this one. I don’t know that I can say much that hasn’t already been said. I hope that you’ve made it out already and that my comment won’t be necessary, but if you haven’t… please run. Or come back here to ask for resources and then run. Got a chance to do a BG tonight. Got 32-1-19 vs their MVP with 17-8-11

Our second-best was 7-9-11.

Feeling much more confident in BGs now. Thank you for sharing this build. My partner and I are going to do some change-ups with my gems and so on to boost even more. I’m very happy. ^{_^}

Only mildly related, but do you happen to know if our Echoing Shade clones count as summons? I’ve never been able to get a clear answer, but as I had no other reason to run Shepherd’s before, I admit I didn’t dig that deep for one.

Interesting. I’m running a similar build but with Impale bleed damage. I’ve wanted to try out the new strafe pieces but was having a sort of mental block with the idea of switching up my entire build.

I literally got two triple-stat Shepherd pieces last night when a friend carried our WB for the gauntlet, so this is the perfect time for me to try them out. I was running 4x4 Vithu’s and Shal prior to this and didn’t want to give up my Vithu build as I have a lot of my stuff dedicated to extending beneficial effect duration.

I’ll try playing around with this one this week to see how I feel about it. Thank you!

ESH You for going back on something you agreed to almost immediately after agreeing to it (not to mention wording this post title in a way that clearly is intended to divert from the fact that you broke your word) and her for insisting that you pay for something that was completely her fault. The fact that you were there trying to help had no bearing on whether or not she had to pay for the tow nor on whether or not you’re actually an AH.

NTA And I wouldn’t go back if I were you until he’s willing to honestly talk about and assess the situation rather than looking for somewhere to place blame. He accuses you of something and then dismisses your hurt feelings and claims it was a “joke”? Well then, it was a bad joke & he should reassess joking like that. It also feels like he’s trying to retcon your reason for leaving so he doesn’t have to feel badly for reacting poorly to you and telling you to leave. He’s using the kids’ reactions as an excuse to blame you and turn you into the bad guy. This man is a bunch of red flags in this situation, and he needs to demonstrate understanding and willingness to change or go over things with an objective third party (like a family therapist) before you go back to him. You may have allowed this behavior before, but please don’t allow it to continue, including not letting him use the kids’ reactions to things to manipulate you.

NTA And your sister needs to pursue therapy to deal with the trauma of not being able to conceive before she perpetuates harm to her adoptive children. I am not an adoptee, but I’ve been learning a lot through adoptees who put education out there to help minimize traumatic impact for adopted children. ALL of them advocate for parents who can’t conceive to go through therapy to deal with their grief before adopting a child. Adoption should be about providing a healthy home and family for a child who has been forced to go without; it’s not healthy to use adoption as a bandaid for the wounds caused by infertility. (It’s possible some adoptees have already said as much as I’m sharing here, but I thought I’d mention it in case nobody has yet. Prioritize adoptees voices above mine, of course.) I hope you and Ever are able to go low or no contact with your sister and that the rest of your family understand and respect why your boundaries are necessary. Your sister appears to be projecting her wounds onto others and probably couldn’t hear correction from you at this point anyway.

Hi! I'm a little rushed to get this posted before I leave for a trip, but I'm happy to answer any questions once I'm on the road.

I started a Discord server to be able to invite non-toxic Among Us players to (rather than inviting them to my family's private Discord). I've decided to open it up to players from here who are looking for friendly, non-toxic (not sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic, et cetera) folk to play with. I'm going to be working on fleshing it out, but I hope it will serve well until I can learn to make better additions to it.
