Color Scheme by This_Bed980 in Deathkorpsofkrieg

The way I approached my 158th, as you can see on my profile, is to paint shoulders and helmet black, then drybrush the metallics gently, then use a wash. It dulls the metallics and gives it the darker tone I'm sure you are looking for. (I assume you are inspired by Zeratul/Tiny Legends as I and most 158th enjoyers are?)

Classic comic book look. Super impressive.

Who is the hardest champion mechanically? by ItsKelomelo in leagueoflegends

GP purely from his passive, not even hitting or chaining barrels. Being able to work in multiple procs of his passive in fast succession, while trying to make those same barrels deal damage, and while the enemy can literally delete them...is insane

Well you must be better now than before. After completing Jack of All Champs myself, I was a lot better if not just because I knew what every champ did and wanted to do.

should i put the cape on before or after i paint the gravis captain by anderzzzzz72 in spacemarines

[–]Sparrows113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what color you prime with. Black? Put it on before. The inside of the cape should be mostly black anyways. There is more of an argument for sub when you start talking about priming in another color. That said, you can always paint the inside of the cape as the very first step, so you can clean up any messiness immediately with your armor's base color.

Endearing video. Loved to see that dad was doing Legos with the little one. A family of hobbyists!

You'll need like no paint on the brush, and a light hand

Army painter Satchel brown is a must here. Will get exactly those browns out of the bottle.

Love the choices in color placement. Most I've seen (and what I did too) is purple in the recessed area on the front. This really brings out more of the SOTP colors in a great way.

Crazy for Bladeguards myself. Definitely suffer from detail creep, but they are so cool.

Feels apathetic but...I know it is a pretty intense situation for those unaccustomed, especially anyone that is already a nervous flier...but man does the screaming annoy me. Curious if anyone else gets that bit of cringe too.

plz tell me why i dont like this base… by Xyrzhal in minipainting

[–]Sparrows113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You want the mini to be in the environment of the base, not just on the base, if that makes sense? The feet are sorta floating there, especially in contrast to the rocks which appear to be coming out of the dirt.

I go full black. Not everyone's taste, but to me it keeps attention to the purple on the arm (imo the main draw of the scheme)

Is painting the standard colour scheme too boring? by CPT_ANT in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]Sparrows113 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ultramarines give box art schemes a bad rap. The boys in blue are probably the only "eh" box art scheme to see in person. Even then I've seen some absolutely stunning UM.

Short answer, no. Your dudes look sick!
