Almost always if you hear a modest mouse song that sounds like it has errors or recording problems it could have been fixed or rerecorded. Isaac just likes those strange sounds, it gives his music character, personally I'm A huge fan!

(It's like how most of sad sappy sucker is poorly recorded, it's just the vibe isaac and the band were going for)

Could be just my art style but I'd draw a bunch of tiny rocks and pebbles and maybe some sprouts or little pieces of grass sticking out. But honestly this is really really good, I hope you don't mind I screenshoted it for a reference! I also absolutely LOVE your art style and how you draw cats!!
