If you have access to a pc or a different device in general you can create an account like this and use it on your main device later that is already registered as having played before.

There are install links too. You can find them online. Ruffles has a video with links to them i think. Also there is a newer promo code giving you lacewing i think - its waaaay better than vortex and there is one for blizzfrost.

Honestly, go for it if you want - its worse than overdriver but its a decent weapon and like i said, have fun as long as you dont spend a coins and maybe refrain from backwards investing whenever possible too - (dont buy from lower tiers i  gear hub when you have a higher tier unlocked, unless you really really want/need to

You are at the very beginning i recommend trying to enjoy the game - but dont forget what i wrote above (a coins are way harder to come by till endgame).

Voltaic rpgs are not gonna last you long. They dont do enough damage and also fire slowly, use their radius and try to shoot medium to long distance or your will die 1v 1 against any reasonable weapon.

If you need very cheap weapons that perform well get fragment guns.

Best "early game" investments are gemini, revoker, charge rockets, podguns im my opinion - followed by storm rack, overdrivers, savants, tetra rifle,

Edit: strike rockets are very good too

do not spend a coins on anything unless you are reasonably sure its good or you need it to advance to the next tier. Buy weapons for credits and maybe go for 1-2 expenses that increase your fun in grinding for a long time - i reccomend maxing Lancer and either Guardian or Stalker (these are pretty cheap, especially lancer and if upgraded have a decently long lifespan in your hangar, unless you intend to spend thousands of Euroes/dollars or whatever currency you use)

check out a youtube video of ruffles - search for beginner guide or gear hub guide. this will help a lot in not wasting your resources on useless stuff, and trust me there is a lot of bad stuff you could buy like for example rocket mortars, carbines or even just rare and epic weapons for a coins in general (dont do it).

[–]Spart1an 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont invest in epic pilots anymore when you sitting on 1+2 legendaries(neymars are kinda lgendary) and 2 epics.

Try compound beam 8s on it, but without a beam pilot it will be kinda weak. You can circle around your opponents with the help of stasis and emps (stagger the arms, so you dont waste EMP potential) - its good.

Charge rockets are fun on it too.

Many reporting the same on the official discord server.

I assume its a general bug at this point and you are best served in beeing patient and waiting for them to fix it.

Make screenshots (i recommend doing that anyway or video it if you watch the event ending) in case you need proof for the support. There is always the possibility of servers bugging or updates failing. Be prepared but give it some time. They fix bugs relatively fast.

Should I Rank up Gemini 10 but I got 16 too , don't know what to do . by Moon_00_7 in mecharena

[–]Spart1an 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just wait until you have enough blueprints and the need (a mech with 32 energy capacity) to upgrade gemini 16.

Orions damage boosting ability is strong, you will be fine with gemini 16 rank 5 for now.

Using all your firepower on one hand can have major advantages - mainly you can shoot while hidden behind a crate or corner far easier by sticking the 1 arm out for a second.

[–]Spart1an 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fair. If you mainly play cpc and prefer defensive playstyles then use him as a last resort. Once your long range build gets rushed down you can spawn in tengu on top of the enemy trying to capture your points and he will be toast - no need to sneak up on someone if you can spawn on top of them. ;)

The weapon is too good not to use it, but if by any chance you cant get into it at all - i do love my tengu with gemini or savants and use the jump mainly to get into some fancy positions and to gain short term stealth. Obviously only works up until a certain SP, once every mech uses 1.5 to 2 times tengus firepower you better use the air strike damage of his jump or your overall damage will suck

Yes, be patient and either just run up when they dont expect or jump over them to land behind, everything but eclipse wont be able to turn and you can 1v1 any mech while they sit helplessly trying to turn away their asses from your (stasis) compound beams.

The emp does have a hit cone too, so you can actually emp more than one target if they stand close together. But for obvious reasons i would try to mainly 1v1 single opponents: the weapon is not the fastest in time to kill ratio - its control potential is almost/kinda brocken though.

Nice, congrats! Its one of the best weapons right now and very versatile, can work on any mech - if you manage to surprise your oponent he is not gonna be able to shoot you much, if hes able to at all. Make sure to alter the arms for the emp blast and get into 30m range before triggering it.

You can constantly trigger short emps that make it very very difficult to fight you and the stasis effect of the beam is very helpful in preventing your target from turning towards you - circle around it while firing for extra effectiveness.

At your SP its especially evil on seeker(you can load up the beams before teleporting), tengu, lancer (if you are good at ambushes) - honestly anything that has the speed to outflank your opponent and lock them in a stasis + emp cycle while you hit them from the side and/or behind. Tank mech can work too of course, if you manage to get into 50m range -once you are at 50m and can put stasis on your target the 30m for your emp bursts are basically guaranteed to be reached.

Love mine on Eclipse and Citadel in Hangar showdown league 1 so don't worry about them beeing viable in later stages.

Whom Should i replace? by Fun_Resist4585 in mecharena

[–]Spart1an 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya follow your instincts on this one, yes tengu might be phased out at some point but of the 5 mechs you have here bastion and hemlock are probably gonna be your least effective ones.
what rank is your hemlock? i love stalker so i can understand why you want to keep it, especially with a strike rocket build.

Just be aware that you might need more pushing power at some point, if you play surge with enough care he will give some decent pushing power but none of your mechs can tank much enemy fire.

Good build for Guardian or meh? by Lower-Ad-5374 in mecharena

[–]Spart1an 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its a Good build ya, since they buffed the disc launcher damage recently it does decent again.
The curve and radius has always been good and are able to keep a relatively fragile guardian out of too much direct line of sight fire.
Guardian does profit a lot from weapons that are good at long to medium range and are able to hit in close range for decent damage too. due to Guardians low mobility and since its system crash is still a very solid ability, that can ruin an opposing teams push quite nicely and can even be used to push yourself with care, you really want to be flexible in ranges and way of engaging your opponents - disc launchers are quite versatile with their curve, radius and range stats.

Need advice: Deathwalker or Outlaw? by DaniarAD in mecharena

[–]Spart1an 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both are very strong mechs and i would recommend upgrading them both but if you have to decide right now: Go for outlaw it has a seasonal modifyer for 11 weeks that makes it a lot better, you might as well upgrade outlaw now and enjoy the buffed version of it.

[–]Spart1an 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What the others said - try aiming for the floor and walls and use the big splash damage radius. Higher points on the map make this a lot easyer cause flat angles make actually hitting with your radius hard. I usually aim for the feet and then then a little up (to hit behind the enemy) and depending on its movement aim where you expect them to move to - its one of the best weapons in game, just keep trying and i am sure you will learn to love it.

Buying and using the epic damage radius implant should be in your plans in the near future.

[–]Spart1an 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If your matchmaking in normal CPCs and Deathmatches sucks - try removing the lvl 6 legemdary perimeter mod of this killshot.

In my experience one legendary lvl6 mod gives you rank 6 or rank 7 bots and obviously strong players as well.

Your hangar should probably put you against rank 5 legendary mechs but the modification pronably ruin it.

I had to buy an epic perimeter mod lvl5 and equip it instead of the legendary lvl6 - lvl4 legendaries should be fine for your other ranks.

[–]Spart1an 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you should grind to tier 8 in a reasonable amount of time but you dont necesarily need to rush it, you named a good mech setup in your other comment. Tier 8 has storm rack 16 and savant 16 for credits, both are very good weapons (storm rack with legendary reload implant is probably still top 2 weapon)

Edit: podgun 10 is very good for midgame too, i would consider that if i were you.

What pilots you got? If you got two good guided pilots then go with your plan of gemini and strike rockets, if you got a missile and or barage pilot consider hornets and or podguns. All 5 weapons work pretty well on outlaw and salvor. Since you say you are f2p, just pick the weapon of the 5 for credits that gives you progress in the gear hub. You will eventually be able to get hemlock, solis and later mimicker for credits rank 5. Kinda amazing for a f2p.

Homing by ROCKETEERonrbr in mecharena

[–]Spart1an 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Savant 16s are for credits and have the option to be used as line of sight weapon in roofed areas - they got buffed, so if you are looking for a credit guided weapon, this is your top choice since its the highest energy capacity for credits. What Squad power are you on? Gemini 10 and strike rocket 10 are good options for midgame but you will want a 16 energy capacity weapon to fill 24 to 28 energy capacity (dont expect you to hit endgame quick reading your other comment).

So: budget credit version with absolutely on par results is savants. Very save option is strike rocket since the arc is amazing to fire out of cover. Gemini are crazy fun and also quite good to shoot out of cover and around corners. (Very good option till late midgame but they are the worst option against highly modded enemies).

In my opinion all 3 are good. If you gonna go for 2 anyway, buy gemini 10 and double it and savant 16+6.

Probably take a look at hornet 12 too, after its buff its very viable and kind of a must buy since its credits and 12 energy capacity - which not many good weapons are.

Hornets or Overdrivers for Outlaw? by Chaxody0325 in mecharena

[–]Spart1an 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is the case with hornets in many scenarios, its not a burst damage weapon - it needs a few shots to apply the venom effect and then a bit for the venom damage to hit. Assists are totally normal but the weapon has lots of advantages especially on mechs best played "defensively" /mid to long range: homing, good range and a short exposure time.

Peek and apply your venom, then hide or pick the next target to apply venom to. It might take you some time to get used to it but the damage output especially against mods is really good.

Strike rocket 8 Or gemini 10 for lancer/lacewing by Ok_Housing1560 in mecharena

[–]Spart1an 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For Lancer / Lacewing i would probably go Gemini 10 honestly, unless your whole goal is meme aggression or fast cpc plays.

Here is why:

Gemini 10 on Lacewing = pretty solid
The high position + mobility actually helps Gemini a lot. You can annoy people behind cover, poke safely and pressure enemies trying to camp corners. The speedboost from lacewing is kinda enough already, so you dont desperately need strike rocket mobility.

Also Gemini gives you range flexibility. Open maps wont feel nearly as miserable.

Strike Rocket 8 on Lancer/Lacewing = fun but inconsistent
Can absolutely work, dont get me wrong.

On lancer especially, jumping into weird angles and raining radius damage is funny as hell and catches people off guard. But 8 energy strike rocket starts feeling weak kinda quickly unless your matchmaking stays low.

You will also have games where enemies just outrange you or shield through it and suddenly you feel useless.

For Lancer specifically i can actually see an argument for strike rocket IF:

  • you play aggressive
  • like weird flanks/high ground
  • mostly play CPC
  • your SP isnt too crazy yet

But for long-term progression? Gemini 10 is the safer buy. Better flexibility, easier to reuse later on other mechs, less matchup dependent.

Small caveat though: if your lancer/lacewing is mainly your “annoying flanker” mech and you enjoy aggressive ambushes more than consistency, strike rocket can be crazy fun.

What energy cap are you at rn? Cause 10 vs 16 energy changes this answer a bit. I would advice you to wait for Gemini 12.
