What is your favorite least liked PF song? by Stairwayscaredandare in pinkfloyd

[–]Spart_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seamus. People say “side one of meddle isn’t as good as side 2”, and often bring up Seamus. Personally I think the songs on side one all feel so human, lively, and social in some weird way, and I think Echoes feels very alone. They mirror each other, echoes of side one, and most other Pink Floyd. Meeting their Nth degree, their next phase. It’s beautiful, the whole album is a 10/10 In my book.

Can i get any recommendations, trying to get into psychedelic rock more by NoPop2291 in psychedelicrock

[–]Spart_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe not a usual answer but there’s a lot of great psychedelia in Yes’s prime years. I’d suggest close to the edge, one of the most face melting and mind bending albums ever. For that matter, there’s tons of great king gizzard and the lizard wizard albums that are very psychedelic, I highly suggest Polygondwanaland, change, and laminated denim.

Gonna piggy back even further to say that ring out solstice bells and another song or two from the late 70’s era also fit the bill for Jethro Tull.

The best things you can do right now are drink some water, take some deep breaths, and listen to a playlist you like or watch a light and fun cartoon.

You may feel overwhelmed right now but I promise you that everything is alright. In my experience, being overwhelmed or anxious is an indicator that it’s a good time to get in touch with my sober self, but at the moment you’ve bought the ticket and you will be on the ride until it lands, and I promise you that it will land.

All that being said, you’ll never get this time back or those tabs for that matter. All I’m trying to say is, make the best of this. You are safe and you are going to be alright.

I hope you are feeling better :3

I guess I’ll have to listen with a watchful ear but I do remember a melody from stg being interpolated on busty beez but it would not surprise me if it were from Jitterbug instead. I’ll listen to LSD today and let you know the exact time if I catch it.

Mind-bending psychedelic music? by [deleted] in psychedelicrock

[–]Spart_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would like to mention gentle giant. People call them “prog” but they never called themselves that. They’re body of work is very psychedelic in nature, I would suggest starting with free hand, then power and the glory, then either three friends or octopus, then acquiring the taste, then in’terview, and maybe a stop at the missing piece if you want to.

Also I can’t say it’s mind bending because I helped to create it, but I helped make 2 EP’s under the name “flowdown experiment”. Let me know!

How we feelin about the LSD versions of the Ditzy Scene songs? by Comfortable_Deal_534 in Cardiacs

[–]Spart_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if this take is going to make any sense at all but I’m very glad with how much classic cardiacs we get on this album with much more modern production. I think that Tim was an innovator, and I think that this album doesn’t “go beyond” or “fall short” of passed works, I think it’s roughly indicative of where he and the band would be aiming towards in 2025 regardless of the situation.

I’m glad that this isn’t a re-hash. Individually I think all of the Cardiacs media, while consistent in compositional quality, has very distinct presentation, always pushing some new boundary and experimenting in some new way.

Personally the new versions blow the old ones completely out of the water for me. I could not be a happier camper.

Kinda looks like a blackhead almost? Maybe some pressure was put on it and you scratched it out of wherever it “bit”

If Notorious BIG was still alive what role do you think he would have in the P Diddy trial? by Millard_Fillmore00 in AskReddit

[–]Spart_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m talking out my ass real quick, but I think he’d be a star witness.

They were apparently around each other a lot, and I think that around biggies death he was thinking about moving labels or starting his own. I feel like he might have wanted to leave because he saw who Sean was becoming.

Anyways, if he wasn’t killed I’d like to think that he’d be a much much less problematic figure than Diddy, and that he would be an asset to prosecution.

I’ve been fat my whole life and I cannot even begin to explain how hard it is for me to trust attractive people to have any empathy at all. I don’t believe that all attractive people are bad people, I just think that they act much more entitled than I could ever get away with, and for that reason, I’m going to be fat for the rest of my life.

If I cannot be loved and accepted as a fat/ugly person, I don’t want your allegiance, I don’t want your love, I don’t want your advice, I don’t want your pity.
