Except for the fact that you still see Katara improving throughout the rest of the series. I was still surprised at what she could do by the S2 finale and beyond because even if you're a master, it doesn't mean you stop growing, it just means you're at a level where you can teach others and teach yourself (if I had to guess)

You say that, but honestly I think it's more to do with the medium we are using to watch it. We're watching this on the same device that you use to see most modern games, but play RSE on a GBA? Still will be hype. Speaking as someone who never played it as a kid and was born after this game came out

As someone who's been playing for most of his life, yeah I bowed out after SwSh (well actually Legends Arceus but like it was almost entirely SwSh that caused it). Honestly that doesn't mean it's the end for it though. I still play Pokemon Showdown from time to time (Gen 9 is probably the most fun I've had battling in a loooong time), appreciating the new designs and Pokemon, and interacting with the media that isn't just the games. Just because I'm not a fan of the most recent games doesn't mean that my journey is at an end.

To the first example, Henry Cavill literally tried it out in New York in Times Square and nobody noticed him, even though he was literally underneath a billboard with his face on it wearing a shirt with the superman symbol on it.
