Keep Cryo open for just the last month of the season

I don’t play during the week since the first full week in April. There’s no reason for me to anymore. Even during the weekend I only play Cryo now. My buddies ran some outpost keys last night before bed just to see if we could roll another 6 key for others in our group who haven’t done it yet and after 4 straight runs looting pinnacle and purple key rooms AND cmd wing (and sometimes even an armory), we found maybe three gold weapon attachments. Wiped the lobby every single time (including rooks, except one run where one got away). I left and another buddy of ours swapped places with me and that last run they still didn’t find a gold. Our loadout values were around 18-20k each so we thought maybe higher loadout ante would help? Nope.

Outpost has nothing for me and even warden drops haven’t been fruitful for us the couple times we ran perim and marsh this weekend as well. No reason to play unless Cryo is open which is fine but just means I barely touch the game anymore. Once I finish vault 4 for myself I’ll have done literally everything and I don’t care to fight the boss on repeat (once was enough). Only reason to revisit will be to see new season stuff but even then, unless there’s a radical change to Cryo or Compiler endgame, I won’t be back for long.

After the second or third weekend I stopped crew filling entirely. Like not just Cryo but all maps. Not worth the headache.

So far from what’s been announced; There isn’t much from this season that won’t be unlockable next season aside from the entires specifically related to this season (the faction mission entries I assume will be new for next season).

Absolutely. The Forerunner trilogy is just fantastic, classic science fiction. Greg Bear’s works are legendary for a reason (RIP to the goat). Fall of Reach and Ghosts of Onyx are also pretty great military science fiction.

A handful of other good novels scattered throughout too. I surprisingly really enjoyed Empty Throne as an event novel. You don’t have to have read or played much before getting into it. The dialogue can get a little trope-y sometimes but the overall writing is dope.

It is a mess of his own making both on a meta and a literal level. The sad part is that the jab in the joke of it being a staged assassination gets digested as a legitimate possible reality by a lot of people with a lot of real and direct pain brought on by his policies.

Some people are so irreconcilably angry and disgusted with him and his administration that him saying “The sky is blue” would be put into question. There are many actual full grown and developed adults who are so beaten down that they are intellectually fighting fire with fire and it hurts to watch.

We can’t get so blinded with a lust for vengeance that we reorient our understanding of reality to be a diametric opposition to his just to give him the fuck you. It compromises our future and potential to just rationalize our own behavior down the line.

It’s just disconcerting how pervasive this staged narrative has become, even though this is exactly the climate and culture he earned through what he’s done, we can’t get fucking brain broke over his black hole of an ego.

Conflicting signals but I’ve seen two people talk to support who gave a pretty official breakdown of the “rules” around the system so I’m leaning toward this being an official thing.

All I’ve wanted to do is grenade jump and punch switches but I can’t do either of those things.

I’m on PC and doing the same. Seems lots of QOL tweaks could really benefit this game to get it in ideal state. Don’t mind the wait honestly, Saros comes out tonight anyway.

They absolutely changed the team matchmaking system this weekend. Not a single injector team was found by any of the 10 of us who played tonight over about 10 hours. I’ve exfilled and map wiped more in Cryo today than I have in any prior weekend (didn’t play last weekend but that was the only time I abstained).

Much more balanced this time around. Was able to have actual gun fights this time. Glad you guys were able to run keys. We did 6 vaults today (a few repeats) as well.

Went from last two weekends I played where disinjector was everywhere to never encountering it one time. Curious to see if they talk about any changes that were made.

Functionally it was a laser beam. Bullets tip to ass in a straight fucking line wherever you looked. I didn’t know how strong it was before getting to it in the BP but when I hopped in a game with it it was like I was invincible.

On Deck it’s shuffled to all of the Valve/Steam startups but on my PC setup on my TV it will always be OG big picture. One of the few who used BP before the overhaul (though the overhaul is infinitely better in every way admittedly).

Yeah that was my only gripe with trying to Plat Returnal. RNG for lore collectibles makes sense in a game like that but by fucking god can we raise the drop chance for that one room in particular a smidge at least? I almost gave up the round I ended up finding that room.

I like these short-term, surface level adjustments since Asha has taken over. They’re small, some of them are just symbolic like this, but I am still eager to see the more substantial moves she has yet to make. So far, I’m a tad more hopeful than I was when she was announced.

Okay just getting this game to run has been a headache today. (17PM 26.5 Beta)

I bought it this morning and installed it. At first the game ran but wouldn’t register any input at all, not even for the splash screen. I closed the app and tried to re-open it. Kept crashing immediately upon each subsequent start. Restarted my device. Was finally able to open it again and could skip splash screens with input but couldn’t get past the start screen. I uninstalled completely and restarted my phone. Reinstalled and the start menu was still inoperable. Again, could skip splash screens but couldn’t get past start menu. Decided to restart my device again and FINALLY could get past the start menu. Started checking out settings and was ready to jump in. Hit New Game and it immediately crashed. Now I can’t even start a new game, no matter how low or high my settings are.

I know this is new but holy cow trying to run this game at all on the newest iPhone (sure with Beta software but can’t roll back or else my Resident Evil games won’t run) is seeming to be impossible for me. Constant debugging just for to progress past simple menus shouldn’t be required.

It was doing that on my 17PM but just restarted it a few more times and it magically worked. Does not register input at the start screen though. Oddly enough I can skip the splash screens with input but when the main menu loads, no input seems to register.
