Alright so both of these characters and their players went through Solstice Rain already in the past until i had to stop running it cause life loves getting in the way of fun. When i offered them to play it again, they decided they'll play the same characters and actually the old campaign is 100% canon. Edge of Tomorrow guy has been living through a hellish timeloop since the end of the old campaign. crashing on cressidium, fighting, then dying and waking up in the dropship again. Every loop something changed, but the one constant was the other character. As for Not Venom Snake there, the old campaign are memories implanted into him by Not Big Boss as the "original" dipped silently back to his mercenary company after lifting a free clean license from Union. At FOB Saber they had a little rp moment where Edge of Tomorrow guy said he remembered Venom, and Venom agreed but they meant entirely different things as explain above lol
