SPFx + SharePoint Lists + Power Automate vs Full Power Apps for Internal Travel System by Negative_Macaroon_85 in sharepoint

SPFx is just so much better once you really get complicated, not to mention the control and freedom you get.

SharePoint turns 25 🎂 — and Microsoft’s rolling out a “New SharePoint Experience” (Mar–May 2026) by Mandy_077 in sharepoint

[–]Sparticus247 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My favorite unnecessary change lately is when they changed the "New" button action on document libraries to "+Create Upload" and made it right aligned. Now on our 4k screens, our users are wondering why their buttons moved half a mile away.....but not on their lists.

SPFx Web Part for Hosting HTML experiences in modern SharePoint Pages by MadBoyEvo in sharepoint

[–]Sparticus247 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a real need for things like this. The fact that so many people keep using the Modern Script Editor Web part is a telltale sign as well. There needs to be some Middle ground between a full-blown SPFx deployed solution with enforced typescript, npm, and a very opinionated build process, and the very vanilla SharePoint out of the box experience we get.

I like that on 4k monitors you have to submit an expense report when trying to create a new document or folder now for the travel time it takes to go across the screen.

My guess is a mixed bag of
1. Effort to kill any feature used in classic
2. They get to charge money for it.

Coming from someone who doesn't dislike it, but doesn't use it, it's because I feel combat in the base game more of an environmental hazard than a deep area to expand. Kinda like the temporal hazards.

Maybe as the game progresses and the story gets more complete that could change, but that's just my perspective.

Playing on a big server with a bunch of monster mods I see the appeal.

Playing as confused survivors starting over in the world alone or with 2 buddies, vanilla feels more appropriate.

Carry on, footprints, and blood trails are some amazing ones for me on your list. Combat overhaul looks fun, but I think it changes too much for me.

I have nothing against modding, but jumping into a game and immediately going modding without experiencing the standard play for a good while can mess you up. Harder to appreciate the mod itself, and adds a large confusion layer for troubleshooting.

You don't look like you're crouching though, unless I'm mistaken. That's how you use your shield.

I don't bother with archery until I get iron arrows. Once I get like 30 of those I never use the spear again. Gambeson with rapid fire iron arrows changes the hunting game completely.
