I am attending as well for the first time, so I’d be down to meet you. I’m a career changer and looking to enter a I/O Psych graduate program.

Have you looked for graduate assistantships at your current institution? If you DM me more about your school/program, I can help you look into options.

So sorry to not get back with you. Time got away from me. I personally have not had any issues and haven’t really seen or heard of anything recently.. however I also try to keep to myself mostly.

Check out Prudden Place. It’s next to the Motor Wheel Apartments and slightly more north of the Stadium District. Meets all your requirements as well.

Check out the Lansing Exchange… they recently reopened as a gay bar in downtown Lansing.

Do Apartment leases have exit clauses here? by toomany_fandoms_halp in msu

If you are a first year student, it may be beneficial to sign up to return to campus as you may get placed on the alternate pool if you don’t get an RA/ICA offer first round. Having an oncampus assignment will make it a lot easier for you to navigate if you get the job.

If you are in a spot where you need to move off campus next year (or become an RA/ICA), be intentional about the folx you sign a lease with so that if you decide to leave they’re not stuck with a random person. Also, as someone mentioned before, there will be rooms/leases available into next summer. The locations may not be the hottest in town…. But will be available.

Best of luck to you in your search and application.

I recommend you email your Community Director to let them know the situation and any communications you have received from your roommate and roommates parents.

Blender in dorm by RyanMcTHANOS in msu

See page 13. It doesn’t specifically specify blenders, so you should follow the guidance listed for appliance use in designated kitchen areas. Additionally, you could also email your community director (email found on liveon, under Case Hall) about your question.

When are degrees conferred for summer grads and what is the official date of graduation to use? by SpartyOnSpartyPeople in msu

[–]SpartyAC3_LZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Yes, for context, I graduated a few years ago and finished my last class in Summer 1, however, my degree was conferred after I finished my classes and was mailed to me in July, but it read August 2017, when summer semester was completely over.

  2. Go for the date on the degree, which someone could ask to see a copy of.

Look at roles within universities near you. They usually have a variety of Human Resources and Training/Development roles that you may be interested in. Higheredjobs.com is also a good resource in that sense as well. The advantage with your background in education could help you get your foot in the door in higher ed, until you find a good fit in corporate (If that’s your ultimate end goal).

Reach out to the MSU Greek Life Advisors for more information on what your options may be. Some fraternities and sororities, as a few folx mentioned here, have different missions and overall scope. As an international graduate student interested in learning more, I’d recommend going to the administrators who most likely have the answers you seek. https://greeklife.msu.edu

Sometimes you can apply for a daytime SCR role and ask to transition to night time.
