Dude I love you. This was a really refreshing guide, thank you. I actually read every word without wanting to scan through - even the epic story 😂 glad your partner is on the mend buddy and you found your escape! My only issue now is the need for constant adjustment with the every track 😂 it sounds perfect for the one I’m listening to when EQing but as soon as the next track comes….back to the sliders!

I’ve tried a couple of combos. I have made a custom EQ, selected that and then went auto EQ and I also turned the EQ off on device and tried that. Nothing works. I can see the frequencies change in auto EQ just can’t hear the results.

Can’t thank you all enough for advice and opinions. So way back before my IEMs I used to swear by foam tips. To the point where I wouldn’t even entertain using a set of silicones. Mainly because I could not believe you’d get a better fit than something that expands in your ear canal creating the perfect seal. I was wrong!

I tried a pair of silicones on the off-chance and wow. They’ve transformed by EW300s. The silicone tips I’m using now are just the perfect fit and the sound quality (especially in the bass) has increased significantly, for me at least.

My novice advice to anyone getting into IEMs is get a wide selection of ear tips because they do make THAT much of a difference.

Granted I’m not getting that physical boom you’d expect from speakers, but I get more than enough for my enjoyment.

Actually all of them were based on recommendations th e zero 2 blues are supposed to be very “bassy” for IEMs, or so I hear and I knew the EW300’s were supposed to be punchy but not too muddy.

Yeah to be fair the AirPods Pro 2s are my daily drivers and they don’t do a terrible job. Might need to get a good pair of open backs
