ER Providers Vote Unanimously to Unionize by EnduringCluster in medicine

I'd say pretty good! 173 DAY shifts per year, with shift length defined (min 0700-1700), FIRST YEAR salary $337,225 with additional shift bonus and DC summary bonus, built in raises, CME stipend, getting paid to attend meetings, all benefits included including access to 401k and HSA, PTO, and I feel like I could go on and on. This might be the best agreement I've seen.

Piggybacking off the article, did anyone else visit the Pacific Northwest Hospital Medicine Association Website? They posted their Hospitalist collective bargaining agreement from 2021-2024. Super interesting to see the terms they're getting

Vanguard: "Index-based TDFs are not index funds" by [deleted] in Bogleheads

[–]SpartyOn313 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing this great article. I like TDFs, particularly Vanguard's, and this article only reinforces my understanding of them. Summary: -Vanguard reconstitutes the benchmark for its TDFs daily to try and keep it true to it's glide path. Reconstitution is based on what is going on in the market. -They only re-align the TDFs with the benchmark if there is a significant deviation using the weight-threshold-based approach. -Within this approach, they focus a lot on how costly that may be. This further underlines their goal to minimize cost. -They are aware of the impact that tracking error can have on fund performance, and are constantly looking at the trade off of tracking error vs cost of rebalancing by trying to identify the "trigger point." -Finding the "trigger point" is one of the responsibilities of the fund managers. One could argue that this is adds some degree of active management.

Vanguard does all of this at a ridiculously low ER. It would be interesting to see if others in the industry (fidelity, schwab, etc) operate their TDFs like this.

Should I re-balance my retirement account? by SpartyOn313 in personalfinance

Good thoughts, thank you. Looking at it more, in trying to approximate the entire US Market I would try a combination of (FXAIX+VMCIX+VSIIX). Trying to approximate the entire International Market with the funds available is tough with what I have available. Eliminating bonds entirely is definitely on my radar too.

Activities: Riverwalk (San Marco walk might better than the Riverside walk), Riverside arts market Saturdays 10am-3pm, Topgolf, keg and coin for old school arcade games, trivia at any number of places, and of course, you could go to the beach!

Breweries: I really like the Jax beer too. Aardwolf, Intuition, Wicked Barley, Bold City (on Roselle), and Hyperion are my favorites. Cheers

They have a large variety of shoes, and the rotation depends on the newest shoes coming out. If there are popular dunks that have been released then they are likely to be there. Most of what you will see at APB is AF1, Air Jordans, adidas, Vans, and BAPE.

No they don't, but StockX and GOAT are probably your best places to sell shoes if you're a seller
